Have you seen the Gilded Leafing in the Stampin’ Up! 2022/2023 Annual Catalogue? It’s a product that’s easy to overlook, especially if you have no idea how it’s used. Even I’ve wondered why I needed it when I can simply heat emboss on my projects instead. I’ve added it to a few projects in the past but today I found the perfect use for my Gilded Leafing, adding a touch of luxury to a clear cellophane bag. Gilded Leafing has a purpose when the materials you’re using can’t be heated! GILDED ... VIEW POST

Gnomes Are Back!
As we approach the end of both current Stampin’ Up! catalogues I’m watching the inventory reports very closely. Yesterday the Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blends sold out and are now discontinued. From this I presume that Soft Succulent isn’t going to transition into one of the main Stampin’ Up! colour families when they’re refreshed in May. But the inventory report isn’t all bad news. In fact the Gnomes Dies are back and available to order again. These coordinate in part with the Friendly Gnomes ... VIEW POST
Growth Takes Time
It’s only a couple more days before we know which products are being retired from the Stampin’ Up! Catalogues. Inevitably, looking forward also has me looking back. I’m reminded of products that are already no longer available, like Stampin’ Sponges. I loved these and regularly used them to create backgrounds (although I know many people found them difficult to use). For some reason I’ve never tried to create a similar effect using Blending Brushes. But with the new Growth Takes Time Stamp Set I ... VIEW POST
Pretty Simple Poppies
Apparently there’s a big snowstorm coming today. I’ve somehow managed to miss watching the weather forecast the past couple of days and it’s caught me by surprise. Thankfully today’s simple Sunday project was made some time ago. In fact it’s the last one from my personal '24 cards in 24 hours' challenge to mark World Card Making Day. I used two stamp sets to make this easy sympathy card. First, Painted Poppies which is an image-only set. Then I chose one of my favourite sentiment-only stamp sets ... VIEW POST
One of the amazing things about papercrafting is the endless possibilities. Even though I may have used a product multiple times simple changes can make it seem fresh and new again. The masculine He’s The Man suite was new in the 2022/2023 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue but it seems like we’ve had it longer. The year before we were treated to the Tailor Made Tags Dies. I love these dies and have used them to tailor make other shaped pieces like the sentiment label on this Father’s Day gift ... VIEW POST
Ready For A Rhino?
Less than a week to go before the new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue is revealed and I’m getting quite excited. I’m excited to see all the new products and materials we'll get to play with, even if I can’t afford to get them all. Of course this year is slightly different as far as new products is concerned with the introduction of the Online Exclusives. Today’s cute birthday card project uses three Online Exclusive products; the Rhino Ready Stamp Set and coordinating dies, as well as a ... VIEW POST
