Every year I love coming up with creative ways to gift little treats. Even though the packaging style may be the same, the change in paper, stamp sets and dies always seems to give the project new life. So with that in mind, here’s my 2019 version of a triangle box for two Hershey’s Nuggets.

TRIANGLE BOX TUTORIAL
I made this year’s triangle box using a piece from the Garden Lane 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper (DSP). It probably isn’t the first DSP pack you’d think of for Christmas but I thought this design was perfect.
I cut a piece 5-1/2″ x 6″ for the actual box, then cut two pieces 1″ x 3″ to wrap the nuggets.
With the long side at the top I scored at 1-1/2″, 3″ and 4-1/2″. With the short side at the top I scored at 1-1/2″ and 4″.
To make make it easier to explain how to assemble the triangle box I filmed this video for you.
As promised in the video I also created a diagram showing the simple scoring and cutting needed.

ENJOY!
What I didn’t show in the video was how I made the pretty embellishments for the box.
Prior to filming I used Merry Merlot ink to stamp the “enjoy!” sentiment and poinsettia flower from the Cup of Christmas Stamp Set onto Shimmery White Card. Then I cut them out using dies from the coordinating Cup of Cheer Dies shown in the video. I also cut out a scrap of Merry Merlot Card with the larger of the two tag dies in the set.

Next, using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) I attached the sentiment to the Merry Merlot piece. Then I coloured in the poinsettia using Stampin’ Blends in dark Real Red and dark Mango Melody. It was at this point that I began filming my video.
As you saw, to complete the decoration I used a little liquid glue to add the flower to the sentiment. Then finished off by adding the pieces to the triangle box with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I’m planning a few more treat / favor projects in the run up to Christmas so watch this space!
PRODUCT LIST
BUNDLE BONUS (RETIRING) – I bought the Cup of Christmas Stamp Set and Cup of Cheer Dies together using a single ‘bundle’ item number. This meant I saved 10% off the cost of buying the two items separately. I’ve included links to both options below so you can explore these further if you wish. I should mention that the Cup of Christmas Stamp Set is retiring, therefore the bundle offer will only be available while stocks last. The Cup of Cheer Dies are being carried over and will continue to be available in the new year.
