Sometimes I get an idea and it just works, straight away, exactly as I imagined. This is what happened this morning when I sat down to ink up the Layered With Kindness Stamp Set for the first time. My plan was to create a gift tag using the large happy birthday sentiment and the coordinating Label Me Lovely Punch.

SQUARE FOLDED TAG BASE
I began with the tag base, using my Paper Trimmer to cut a piece of Whisper White Card 3″ x 6″. Then I scored it at 3″, folded it along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder. To turn the mini card into a tag, I punched the back just beside the crease using the oval hole option on the Detailed Trio Punch.
Next I cut a piece of Vellum Cardstock 2-9/16″ x 2-9/16″. Then to add some interest I decided to add a border on the vellum. I did this using the brush tip of a dark Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends marker. With that done I fixed the vellum to the tag using a little Tear & Tape Adhesive just in the middle.
Finally I finished the tag base by threading some Night of Navy twine from the Country Club Twine Combo Pack through the hole and tied it in a simple knot.
LOVELY PUNCH
Now everything was prepared all I had left to do was create the focal point for the tag.
I started by wiping some Night of Navy Card with an Embossing Buddy to remove any oils and static. Then with VersaMark ink I stamped the happy birthday image. Next I sprinkled the sticky ink with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and tapped off the excess. Finally, once I’d removed a few stray specks, I melted the rest of the powder with my Heat Tool set on 2 (high).
All that was left was to punch out the sentiment using the coordinating Label Me Lovely Punch. Then after adding it to the tag using Stampin’ Dimensionals I was done.
I have to say while I love the happy birthday image, I love the Label Me Lovely Punch even more. This thing is BIG, and at 2-1/16″ x 2-1/16″ will be so useful for punching out other sentiments. What do you think?
