And just like that it’s time for another simple Sunday project. Looking back at the last few days I’ve realised there’s been an awful lot of blue. Even the flowery “thinking of you” card on Tuesday had a bright blue background. So today I’ve decided I need to spend some time in my craft studio using other colours. But before I get to that I wanted to show you another easy project using the Construction Zone Stamp Set. Today’s blue is Misty Moonlight but feel free to use something else.

SIMPLE CONSTRUCTION
I began with a 1-3/4″ x 5-1/2″ strip of Basic White Card and a Pebbled Path ink pad. From the Construction Zone Stamp Set I chose the cement mixer and “you’re loads of fun!” sentiment.
After stamping the truck at the left end of the strip I added the sentiment towards the top in the centre. Next I pulled out the light Pebbled Path Stampin’ Blends alcohol marker to colour the vehicle’s tyres and door frame. Then for the door and mixer barrel I used the light and dark Misty Moonlight Stampin’ Blends. To finish I coloured the hub caps with dark Misty Moonlight, before going back to the light Pebbled Path marker and scribbling some ‘ground’ beneath the truck.
With that done I cut a 2″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Misty Moonlight Card. Using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) I mounted the Basic White layer on top leaving an even border above and below the white strip.
Finally I added a slot at the right-hand end using the Very Best Trio Punch. From the 2023-2025 In Color Jute Trim pack I cut two 6″ pieces of Pebbled Path twine. Then I folded the twine in half and poked the loops through the slot. After threading the cut ends through the loops I pulled gently to secure them in place. And in a matter of minutes this week’s simple Sunday project was complete.
I have to say I love the simplicity of the Construction Zone images and have lots more ideas to show you in the coming months. Watch this space!
