If you’ve been waiting for the All About Autumn 6” x 6” Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) to be restocked, you’re in luck. However as with previous deliveries it may still not be enough to keep up with the demand. So it seems I’m consistently juggling my projects around this issue. Today therefore I’ve a simple gender-neutral card created during my recent 24 cards in 24 hours marathon. This one was designed to be an all-season card showing off the gorgeous copper foil patterns on the back of the DSP.

RICH AUTUMN COLOURS
I began by choosing two of the copper foiled designs on the back of the All About Autumn DSP. Both include the colour Pretty Peacock and I decided to use that as my coordinating colour.
So from the first mosaic tile-effect pattern I cut a 2-1/4″ x 6″ piece. Using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) attached it to the flap of a Basic White Medium Envelope. Then I trimmed off the excess DSP with my Paper Snips, using the edge of the envelope flap as a guide.
Next, from that same sheet I cut a 3/4″ x 5-1/4″ strip and glued that down the right-hand edge of a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White Card. This would line my finished card base.
Finally I cut a 3″ x 3-1/4″ piece of the mosaic pattern . This would be used on the front of the finished card and for that I wanted a coordainting mat layer. So I cut a 3-1/8″ x 3-3/8″ piece of Moody Mauve Card and mounted the DSP on top with liquid glue.
Now for some contrast I picked a sheet of DSP with a herringbone pattern and cut a piece 1-7/8″ x 3-3/8″. This would form the second layer on the card front. Once again I needed a mat layer cut from Moody Mauve Card and cut that at 2″ x 3-1/2″.
With the main layers complete I cut and scored some Pretty Peacock Card for my A2 card base. After folding it along the scored line I sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder. Then I glued the assembled Basic White layer on the inside.
FINISHING TOUCHES
Although I had two layers completed using the All About Autumn DSP I still needed a sentiment. So for that I turned to the Very Best Occasions Stamp Set.
Using Pretty Peacock ink I stamped “sending you smiles for every moment of your special day”, onto a 1-5/8″ x 3-3/8″ piece of Basic White Card. As before I cut a mat layer from Moody Mauve Card, this time at 1-3/4″ x 3-1/2. Once the sentiment was glued on top I was ready to assemble my card.

I began with the large mosaic layer and glued that onto the card base 1/4″ from the top and left edges. Then using Stampin’ Dimensionals I added the herringbone piece 1/4″ from the bottom and right edges.
The layered sentiment was next and would also be attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals. However to keep it level I needed to stack them two high where it extended past the edge of the herringbone layer.
Finally I added two pairs of Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels to soften the angular feel of the design. One pair fitted nicely vertically in the corner between the top herringbone layer and right-hand side of the mosaic. The second pair then went horizontally in the corner formed by the left edge of the herringbone and bottom of the sentiment layers. And just like that my card was complete.
I love how quick and easy this project was to put together. It just goes to show that while the All About Autumn DSP has amazing autumn images, it’s one of those packs that really can be used all year round.
