Happy Canadian Thanksgiving everyone. I do love a long weekend, however mine has been anything but relaxing. On Saturday, World Card Making Day saw me attempting my 7th annual “24 cards in 24 hours challenge”. I succeeded, and managed to grab 5 hours sleep as well, but that hectic 24 hours will catch up with me over the next few days for sure. So today I have a quick and easy project, using a colourful pumpkin pattern from the All About Autumn 6” x 6” Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack.

ALL ABOUT AUTUMN
I began by cutting up the pumpkin sheet from the All About Autumn DSP. I love the colourful green and yellow pumpkin that was in one corner and cut my 2-5/8″ x 2-5/8″ piece to include that. Then I cut a 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ piece of Crushed Curry Card. Using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) I mounted the DSP onto the card and set it aside.
Next I found a bright orange 3″ x 3″ Post-It® Notes Pad. To cover this I cut a 3-1/8″ x 6-3/4″ piece of Early Espreesso Card. Then with the long side at the top I scored the card at 3-1/8″ and 3-5/8″. After folding the card along the scored lines I sharpened the creases really well with a Bone Folder. Finally I wrapped the card around the Post-It Notes pad, and glued it to the back.
To add some contrast I decided to cut a 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ piece of Crushed Curry Card, and glued the wrapped pad on top. Then I added the pumpkin layer to the Early Espresso cover using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

All I needed now was a sentiment and for that I reached for the Go To Greetings Stamp Set. First, using Early Espresso ink I stamped the smallest “just a note” onto a scrap of Thick Very Vanilla Card. Then I cut it out using the slim label die from the Something Fancy Dies set, keeping the stamped words towards the right-hand end. Finally I trimmed off the excess card to the left of the sentiment, before adding it to the pumpkin layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
In minutes I’d created a useful addition to my desk for the autumn season. What’s more I still have enough of that one sheet of DSP to create three more!
