I’m having so much fun playing with the Fond of Autumn Stamp Set and coordinating Autumn Bouquet Dies. The main image is very large and there’s two different dies depending on how you want to cut it out. One die cuts the image into four parts, and I’ve created projects using some of these sections in earlier blog posts. So today I decided to use the complete image cut out in one piece using the alternative die option. The result is this pretty thank you card in soft autumn colours.

SOFT AUTUMN COLOURS
I began by stamping the large image onto some Thick Basic White Card using Early Espresso ink. Then I decided to colour it using Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. Although these markers are designed to blend I wanted to keep things really simple. So I just used each individual marker to colour specific parts of the image rather than worrying about shading etc.
I started by using dark Petal Pink on the large flower petals. Then I used the light Petal Pink for the centre of the flowers and the berries. For the leaves I chose Mint Macaron, using the light one on the three oak leaves in the centre and the dark shade on all the others. Finally I coloured the acorns using light Crumb Cake, with the dark Crumb Cake on the acorn cups.

For my coordinating feature I went back to the stamp set and chose the small flower image with two attached leaves. Using Early Espresso ink I stamped the image in the bottom right-hand corner on the front of a Basic White Medium Envelope. I also stamped the flower in the bottom right-hand corner of a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Basic White Card. Then I coloured the flowers and leaves to match the main image.
All I needed now was to stamp the “sending many thanks” sentiment onto some Thick Basic White Card using Early Espresso ink. In fact I started by stamping the banner image, before stamping the sentiment inside the outline. This was really easy as I simply had to look through the clear photopolymer stamp to get the placement just right.
AUTUMN BOUQUET DIES
I was almost ready to begin putting my card together but first I had to cut out the sentiment and large image. From the Autumn Bouquet Dies I chose the large open die without any ‘bars’ across it. This would cut just around the outline of the large image. Then I found the banner die in the set and cut out the sentiment.
I really wanted to give this card a clean and fresh feel so chose Thick Basic White Card for the card base. After cutting and scoring the card I folded it along the scored line and sharpened the crease with my Bone Folder.

On the inside of the card I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) to attach the decorated Basic White layer.
Turning to the front I first attached the large die-cut piece using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then I put Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of the sentiment, After deciding on exactly where the sentiment was to go I realised I needed to stack the Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals at the ends. This would allow for the extra height created by the floral layer below the centre section.
Once the die-cut pieces were in place I added three Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels and my thank you card was complete.
I love how this autumn project turned out They’re not the bright colours seen at the peak of the season, but instead evoke memories of those cool misty mornings. What do you think?
