After yesterday’s marathon blog post I promised you something much shorter today. So this morning I designed a simple thank you card using more of the Garden Lane Designer Series Paper (DSP).

FROM THE TOP
I began this project with some Very Vanilla Card and a Mossy Meadow ink pad. Then found this pretty thank you sentiment in the new Bloom & Grow Stamp Set.
Once I’d stamped the sentiment I mounted the layer on some Mossy Meadow Card using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow).
Next I used liquid glue to fix a piece of the Garden Lane DSP to another layer of Mossy Meadow Card. Then I wrapped some new Very Vanilla 3/8″ Scalloped Lace Trim around the layer and secured it on the back with Tear & Tape Adhesive.
With that done I used more liquid glue to add the background piece to a card base of Thick Very Vanilla Card. Then I added the sentiment to it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

GARDEN LANE AGAIN
Now the front of the card was complete I just needed to finish off the inside and make a coordinating envelope. For that I went back to the Garden Lane DSP.
First I cut a 5/8″ x 5-1/4 strip and used liquid glue to add that to a strip of Mossy Meadow Card. This was fixed inside the card base towards the bottom edge.
Then I attached one final piece of the DSP to the flap of a Very Vanilla Medium Envelope using liquid glue. I cut off the excess DSP following the shape of the envelope flap with my Paper Snips, and in no time at all my project was complete.
I’ll admit that the Garden Lane Designer Series Paper did not immediately make my wish list. But I have to say that now I have it, I keep going back to it. The combination of geometric patterns and more organic designs in various shades of green are simply gorgeous. The colours used in the pack are Garden Green, Mint Macaron, Mossy Meadow Pear Pizzazz, Soft Sea Foam and Whisper White.

FINAL DAY REMINDERS
Today is May 31st and there are a couple of things I need to remind you about.
Firstly, today is your last chance to order the special Everything is Rosy Product Medley. This medley is a coordinating collection of exclusive stamp set, dies, ribbons, DSP, foil sheets and embellishments. You’ll find all the information in the Everything is Rosy section of my online store.
Alternatively here’s the Stampin’ Up! video showcasing this amazing collection.
Secondly, and perhaps most importantly. The cost of the monthly Paper Pumpkin subscription will be increasing from tomorrow to $30 per month (or $28 + shipping for the prepaid subscription). If you want to avoid the increase you can buy prepaid subscriptions TODAY at the old price. You’ll be paying up front for your kits, but you’ll still be able to skip a month in the same way you can with a month-to-month subscription. Just be aware that shipping on the prepaid subscription is calculated just like any other products in my online store (minimum $9.95, or 10% of the order if it’s over $99.50). For this reason if you’re not adding other things to your order you might want to consider the 6 or 12 month prepaid option.
OK, so that’s it from me for today. If you need any further clarification about the Paper Pumpkin increases and the pre-paid option, contact me and I’ll be happy to answer your questions.
