Are you a coffee drinker. I am, sort of. I rarely venture into coffee shops and have no idea what all those fancy names mean. At home, while I may have three or four coffees in a morning, they’re fairly weak and only half-caff. I’m suppose I’m a bit of a lightweight. However, coffee images and sentiments are very on trend at the moment so I thought I’d combine two sets from the Annual Catalogue on a simple masculine card. But I didn’t forget about today’s sneak peek. That would come in the form of the banners used for the sentiments.

COFFEE FIRST
I wanted today’s card to have a bit of a masculine feel so I chose the coffee pot and mug image from the Campology Stamp Set. I started by stamping it onto a piece of Whisper White Card using Soft Suede ink. Then with Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) I mounted it onto a layer of Soft Suede Card.
Next I stamped the image onto the front of a Whisper White Medium Envelope in the bottom left corner.
Finally I stamped the image in the bottom left corner of a layer of Whisper White Card.
For my card base I used my Paper Trimmer to cut and score a piece of Thick Whisper White Card. Then I sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder. With that done I used liquid glue to fix the stamped Whisper White layer on the inside.
SENTIMENT BANNERS
That just left the sentiment banners to do and for those I turned to the Nothing’s Better Than Stamp Set.
First I cut two 3/4″ strips of Whisper White Card. Then I stamped “coffee” on one using Soft Suede ink. Next I stamped “because adulting is hard” on the other strip.
After that I cut two strips of Soft Suede Card 1″ wide for the mat layers. All I needed to do was shape the ends of the strips.
I could have used Paper Snips to create my banners but to be honest I can never get them even that way. Instead I pulled out the new Banners Pick-A-Punch. Like the Lovely Labels Pick-A-Punch, this one punch has two punch shape options and each one can punch three different widths of card.

I began by punching the sentiment pieces and Soft Suede strips using the pointed (left) side of the punch. This was a really simple task as there’s slots into which you fit the strips, keeping them straight while you punch.
Next I punched the other end of the two sentiments with the V (right) side of the punch. Once that was done I held the sentiments against the Soft Suede strips so I could gauge how much I would need to trim off the end. Then after punching the ends of the strips I mounted the sentiments onto them with liquid glue.

To complete my card I used liquid glue to attach the assembled coffee pot layers in the centre of the card front. Then I added my two layered sentiments with Stampin’ Dimensionals and my project was done.

PRODUCT LIST
NEW PRODUCTS – The Banners Pick-A-Punch will be available for customers to order starting August 4th. This is when the Stampin’ Up! August to December 2020 Mini Catalogue goes live. I’ll add a link to the punch on that day as soon as I’m able.
