It’s currently Saturday morning and I’m typing up this blog post with one eye on the online Nova Scotia Power Outage Map. The map is updated every 10 minutes and the number of properties without power just keeps going up. So my plan is to get this post done and scheduled so you still get your regular simple Sunday inspiration regardless of what happens here. This cute bookmark project uses a piece of the Beary Christmas 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper (DSP). All it needed was some strategic cutting.

BEARY CLEVER
In actual fact I made this bookmark with a piece of the Beary Christmas DSP I’d set aside while making a simple Christmas card.
Obviously I’d chosen the sheet with the polar bears floating on ice. First I cut the sheet in half from top to bottom. From the left half I cut a 2-1/2″ high strip off the bottom. Now I had my sleeping polar bears I simply cut a 1/2″ x 6″ strip off the bottom of this piece. This left me with the perfect 2″ x 6″ strip.
For the bookmark base I cut a 2″ x 6″ piece of Night of Navy Card. Then using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) I attached the DSP on top.
To add the hole at the right-hand end of the bookmark I used the slot option on the Very Best Trio Punch. With that done I threaded 8″ of White 3/8″ Glittered Organdy Ribbon through the slot and tied it in a simple knot.
Phew, job done and post ready to schedule. Hopefully normal service will be resumed on Monday.
