A few days ago I created a card with embossed and die-cut snowflakes from the new Beautiful Blizzard Bundle. I really like this bundle and the snowflakes all have 6 sides, which I know is important to many people. There’s also some gorgeous sentiments (words and type-face) in the stamp set too. So I suppose it was inevitable I’d end up with a bookmark idea for today’s simple Sunday project.
OH SO SIMPLE SNOWFLAKES
I began, as usual, with a 2″ x 5-1/2″ strip of Thick Whisper White Card. I punched it at the top with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. Then I shaped the bottom with the corner rounder option on the Detailed Trio Punch.
Next I stamped the multi-snowflake image all over the piece using Pool Party ink.
The ‘unique’ sentiment came next stamped over the snowflakes with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
EXTRAORDINARY
On the back of the bookmark I then stamped a second sentiment in Tuxedo Black ink. This one says ‘and YOU are extraordinary’.
Have you ever considered what an odd word that is? Extraordinary. The dictionary defines it as meaning remarkable or exceptional. But this morning I looked at it and realised it’s two words, extra and ordinary. But if you’re extra-ordinary, doesn’t that mean you’re even more ordinary? No? Just my odd brain on a Sunday morning then…
Anyway, back to the bookmark.
With all the stamping complete I simply needed ribbon for the top. I chose the Silver 3/8″ Metallic-Edge Ribbon and secured it above the slot with some Mini Glue Dots.
Finally I used a Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to add a little shimmer to parts of the snowflakes. My bookmark was done.
So that’s it from me for today. Whatever you have planned, I hope you find time for a little crafting therapy.

Beautiful Blizzard on a frosty morning
BUNDLE BONUS – I actually bought the Beautiful Blizzard Stamp Set with the coordinating Blizzard Thinlits Die using a single bundle item number. This meant I saved 10% off the cost of buying the two items separately. Although I didn’t use the die today, I’ve included links to the bundles at the end of the supply list. That way you can easily look at these in more detail if you wish.
Love it!!
Thank you Geraldine
