I never thought of myself as creative. In fact years ago I was actually told that art wasn’t my forte. Then I discovered Stampin’ Up! and I was encouraged to forget what I’d been told. I could be creative, I could make pretty things, all I needed was a few basic tools and some guidance. Little did I know when I placed my first order that I had finally found my passion. Papercrafting with Stampin’ Up! products has opened up a whole new world for me. I love the freedom and sense of accomplishment that my creativity brings. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I’d write a blog, or that people I’ve never met would want to read it. I cherish every single friendship I’ve made with people from all around the world. Now I can’t imagine my life without you.

BEAUTIFUL FRIENDSHIP
For today’s Simple Sunday card I wanted something easy but pretty, so I chose the Beautiful Friendship Stamp Set. I decided to keep the colours simple too, settling on a purple, green and white colour palette.
For my card base I used my Paper Trimmer to cut a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ piece of Thick Whisper White Card. Then with the long side at the top I scored it at 4-1/4″. After folding it along the scored line I sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder.
Next I cut two pieces of Whisper White Card, one 4″ x 5-1/4″ and one 2-3/8″ x 3-5/8″. Finally I cut a piece of Highland Heather Card 2-1/2″ x 3-3/4″ for my mat layer.
Then I was ready to begin stamping.
I placed the two Whisper White pieces on my desk and to that added a Whisper White Medium Envelope. Then with Highland Heather ink I stamped the smaller flower image from the Beautiful Friendship Stamp Set across the top left and bottom right corners.
Next using Granny Apple Green ink I stamped the three leaf image either side of each flower.
Finally in the centre of the smaller Whisper White piece I stamped the “I love our beautiful friendship” sentiment using Gorgeous Grape ink.
SIMPLE ASSEMBLY
With everything stamped I then began putting all the pieces together.

First I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) to fix the larger Whisper White piece inside the card base.
Then I fixed the smaller Whisper White piece onto the Highland Heather layer. Finally I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the assembled layers to the front of the card base in the bottom right corner.
TIP – If you are worried about getting the main piece exactly in the centre of your card front, do what I did and move it towards a corner.
In 30 minutes with just stamps, ink and paper I’d created a beautiful card to celebrate our beautiful friendship. Thank you for choosing to spend your time with me today, I appreciate it more than you can ever know.
