I’m having a very busy weekend attending a two-day craft fair at the Lowland Garden Centre in Great Village. I love getting customers’ on the spot feedback of the things I have available for sale. But while it enables me to get ideas for future projects, it doesn’t leave much time for my blog. However I wasn’t going to let that beat me. So in double-quick time I created this autumn-themed bookmark using Stampin’ Blends and the September 2026 Product of the Month; Luxe Foliage Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP).

If you look in the Product List at the end of my blog you’ll see the sheet I started with. It’s an all-over tan colour with leaves outlined in gold foil. I started by cutting a 2″ x 5-1/2″ strip and then I simply coloured it in using Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. The beauty of the foiling is that if I accidentally coloured on top I could simply wipe the colour away with a piece of kitchen paper.

For the various leaves I coloured one solid colour, using the dark version of each pair of Stampin’ Blends. So each leaf was either Golden Glow, Pecan Pie, Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Peaceful Pine or Highland Heather. Then for the background I used dark Misty Moonlight.

However, having done this I decided the Golden Glow leaves didn’t really stand out. So I simply went over each one with light Poppy Parade. That was much better.

Next I cut a 2-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Cherry Cobbler Card and glued the altered DSP down the centre. Then I measured the centre of the top edge, 1/4″ from the top and punched a 1/8″ hole. I cut two 6″ pieces of Crumb Cake Baker’s Twine and folded them in half. After poking the loops through the hole, I threaded the cut ends through the loops and pulled to secure the twine in place. And just like that my project was complete.
