My daughter loves snow, when she can mess around in it with the children that is. Driving in it, not so much. So she's always asking when's the best time to visit us to see snow. Funny enough I never say December, or January, I've found in my little corner of Canada, February is best. So when I saw the Spirited Snowmen Stamp Set and the 'love never melts' sentiment I immediately thought of Valentine's Day. Before I knew it I had made today's very simple Sunday project. LOVE NEVER ... VIEW POST
Background Stamping
Sometimes when I look at a stamp set I look for background stamping possibilities. While I love using Designer Series Paper or embossing folders, background stamping can add a whole new dimension to a project. This was exactly what I was thinking of when I created today's project using the Feathers & Frost Stamp Set. BACKGROUND STAMPING VERSION 1 I began with a layer of Whisper White Card and the square foliage image from the Feathers & Frost Stamp Set. Using Old Olive ink I ... VIEW POST
Holly Border Tag
One of my favourite stamp sets in the Stampin' Up! 2018 Holiday Catalogue is Peaceful Poinsettia. I simply love the line-art images and the large clean font used for the sentiments. Of course it certainly doesn't hurt that there's coordinating Detailed Poinsettia Thinlits Dies available too. But today I wanted to bring you a quick project featuring the holly border image. FIRST THINGS FIRST To start I needed to create the basic shape for this large gift tag from Thick Very Vanilla ... VIEW POST
Blizzard of Wishes
Today's the day! The eagerly awaited Snowflake Showcase suite of products from Stampin' Up! is now available for customers to buy. Talking to my customers, I foresee a blizzard of wishes on their way to me today. Most are eager to ensure that they can get their orders in early before these limited availability items sell out. One of the things I love about this suite is how easy it is to create pretty projects without a whole lot of effort. With Christmas fast approaching that's becoming ... VIEW POST
Hot Chocolate Pouch For A Customer
Some weeks ago I was talking about some of my old projects. I've been an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator for almost 5 years, and been blogging daily for over 4 of them, so there's a lot out there! Sadly, many of the products and materials I used in these older projects have now retired. Certainly not all of them, but enough. So I asked if there were any old projects that you'd like me to remake using current products and one of my customers came up with a great one. In fact I've since ... VIEW POST
Picture Perfect Birthday
It's always a good day when I can make a masculine card. Most cardmakers I speak to say masculine and sympathy cards are the hardest to make. So when I created this one for my personal World Card Making Day challenge earlier this month I was very happy indeed. I pulled out the Picture Perfect Birthday Stamp Set and a favourite pack of DSP and just started to play. BACKGROUND PATTERNS This card all started with the backgrounds found in the Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper (DSP) ... VIEW POST
Seasonal Chums WWYS192
This week the What Will You Stamp? challenge is WWYS192 Seasonal Chums. This is such a cute stamp set with a snowman, pumpkin and deer plus 5 sentiments. The images feature a back and front view and are designed to be used as folded gift tags, and this is made really easy with the coordinating Seasonal Tags Framelits Dies. Simply stamp once, cut once, then fold. Of course as part of the What Will You Stamp? Design Team I wanted to create something other than a tag. So I designed a card ... VIEW POST
Kindness Changes Everything
I'm halfway through the weekend but not halfway through my to do list. I think as I get older time must speed up at the same rate as I'm slowing down. At least I'm still having fun and enjoying the new friendships I'm making through my papercrafting. I've had a lot of feedback following my granddaughter Alyssa's card project and we are all very touched by your kindness. She's definitely a papercrafting star in the making. Just recently I got the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set and one ... VIEW POST
Christmas Wishes
I'm still trying to catch up after the surprise visit from my daughter and granddaughter. Lots of harvesting and processing to do. Have you noticed that even though we know Christmas is coming, somehow preparations never quite go to plan. Crafting is like that, so I've quick and easy solution, this Christmas Wishes card. CHRISTMAS WISHES I began with a piece of Thick Whisper White Card cut and scored using my Stampin' Trimmer. I folded the card along the scored line and sharpened the ... VIEW POST
Happiness Surrounds (Sneak Peek)
Yesterday I had a very busy day in my studio with my granddaughter Alyssa. She'd already made the Christmas card that I showed you a couple of days ago, but we still needed to make Mummy's Christmas present. Obviously it's a surprise and I can't show you what Alyssa made, but when she flew home last night she took two handmade gifts complete with boxes. Alyssa reminded me that we always need gift tags, so today's project is a tag with a sneak peek of the Happiness Surrounds Stamp ... VIEW POST
