A few days ago I created a cute baby card to showcase two new Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folders from Stampin' Up! called Tufted and Subtle. I mentioned that there were coordinating dies available for the Sweet Baby Stamp Set and for today's Watch on Wednesday project I decided to use the stamps and dies bundle to create a gift tag and bonus card. As promised in the video, here's the details: To create the It's a Girl! gift tag I used 1/4" sheet of Very Vanilla Card and a ... VIEW POST
Wonderful Moments
Every now and then I wish I wasn't a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. Now don't get me wrong I love being a demonstrator, it's brought so much to my life; creativity, new friendships, travel opportunities, more than I could have ever imagined. No, the reason I sometimes wish I wasn't a Demonstrator is when I see a great joining offer and think, wow, if I wasn't demonstrator already I'd definitely want to take advantage of that offer! Well today was one of those days. It's Tuesday, the day that ... VIEW POST
A little less subtle
On Saturday I created a cute baby card using two new Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folders from Stampin' Up! called Tufted and Subtle. The embossing from the Tufted embossing folder was easy to see in my photo, sadly though on white card the embossing from the Subtle folder was less obvious. So while creating my contribution to the What Will You Stamp? Challenge Design Team for this week's challenge WWYS174 - Thankful Thoughts I pulled out the Subtle embossing folder once ... VIEW POST
Tropical Chic
A couple of years back Stampin' Up! had a stamp set called Botanical Blooms. I loved it and was so sad when it retired. Stampin' Up! must have taken pity on me because now we have a stamp set with a similar feel that excites me just as much, Tropical Chic, and I couldn't wait to get it inky for this week's simple Sunday project. I began with a 2" x 5-1/2" piece of Thick Whisper White Card shaped at the top using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. This is my basic bookmark blank. Then I ... VIEW POST
Sweet baby card
I'm a sucker for a cute baby stamp set and as soon as I saw the Sweet Baby Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! I knew I'd have to get it. Today is my first time inking it up and my project features two amazing new embossing folders too. Even if you don't have a use for baby-themed projects right now, do check out these new embossing folders, I think you'll be seeing a lot of them in the weeks and months to come. My project all started with the baby image from the Sweet Baby Stamp Set. I ... VIEW POST
Beautiful promenade collage
I consider myself to be a life-long learner and love exploring You Tube and Pinterest for new ideas I can use in my papercrafting. Something I've long admired am still working on is collage-style backgrounds and when I saw the Beautiful Promenade Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! I knew it would be perfect for this technique. It all began with a piece from the Tea Room 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) Pack. This DSP pack contains 24 sheets (4 each of 6 different double sided ... VIEW POST
A place for everything
Do you ever find that even though you've seen an image numerous times, one day you look at it again and have one of those lightbulb moments? Well that happened to me this morning with the Accented Blooms Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! The blank area in the centre of the main image was designed to be filled in with a sentiment, whether stamped directly into the space or on a piece of card punched out using the coordinating Tailored Tag Punch. Today however I saw a place holder with an area ... VIEW POST
Nature’s wonders
One of the things I really noticed when I returned home from my vacation was how much our property had changed in the space of 3 weeks. The trees that were virtually bare are now completely covered in leaves and there's so much more wildlife around. I never tire of seeing how the landscape changes with each season, although right now a little more warmth wouldn't hurt, it is mid-June after all. When I first saw the new Rooted in Nature Stamp Set I must admit that it didn't excite me and I ... VIEW POST
With love
Four days after returning from an extended vacation in Europe I'm still trying to get myself back into a routine, and that includes working on projects for the What Will You Stamp? Challenge Design Team. This week the challenge is WWYS173 Make A Difference. The Make A Difference Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! is another great alphabet set but I ignored all the individual letters and instead used other elements in the set to create a pretty gift tag. With the aid of my Stamparatus stamp ... VIEW POST
