Yesterday was another exciting day as I took delivery of some more new products from the Stampin' Up! 2018/2019 Annual Catalogue. It wasn't a huge order but it did contain some special mixed packs containing card in the new and returning colours, and a pack containing all the new and returning colours of Stampin' Write Markers. Now, even though I don't yet have all the new colour ink pads, I have the option to use the markers directly on the surface of the stamp, or to scribble onto an acrylic ... VIEW POST
A magazine technique
Yesterday I decided that as time was running out for stamp sets being retired by Stampin' Up! I'd should take another look at the ones I'm going to miss. Having focussed on Rose Wonder and the coordinating (and also retiring) Rose Garden Thinlits I thought it would be fun to do a stencilled image. As so often seems to happen in my craft studio, once I got started I went off on a tangent and ended up with, what I'm calling, my magazine technique. I began with a damaged copy of the ... VIEW POST
Golden combination
I can't tell you how excited I was when I heard that Stampin' Up! was bringing back Blackberry Bliss as a permanent member of their colour offering. My regular blog followers will know that I am a purple girl through and through, and I love the rich regal colour of Blackberry Bliss. Of course pair that with gold and you have a simple combination that can make any project stand out. So while I'm applauding the colours it's with a tinge of sadness as I remind you of a great stamp set that is ... VIEW POST
Thank you and welcome
Hi everyone! Thank you so much for visiting my blog here on PapercraftWithMe.com. Today is a big day as I'm now only publishing my daily projects here, and my old Stampin' Up! blog has been gracefully retired. You can still visit my old blog to read previous posts and see the 1000+ projects I've made and shown over the past 4 years, but there'll be no new projects there. For today's project I wanted to give you another idea for using the new Love What You Do Stamp Set which is on early ... VIEW POST
The time has come
For the past few days I've been writing two blog posts, one here on my new website and one over on my old website. That means double the work which eats into the time I have available to play in my craft studio. As a result, starting tomorrow I'll only be blogging here on the new website. So for the last time, here's the preview of the project I posted today on the old blog. To get all the details about this project please visit my blog post Old Friends. Starting tomorrow I'll be ... Creating my own flowers
For those of you who are not familiar with my papercrafting journey, you may not be aware that I've been a member of the What Will You Stamp? Challenge Design Team for almost 2 years. Each Monday we challenge ourselves and everyone else to create a project using at least one image from the featured Stampin' Up! stamp set for that week. This week the challenge is WWYS167 - Apron of Love, with lots of kitchen and barbecue related images and some great sentiments. As I sat down to create my ... VIEW POST
Slowly but surely
My website is moving forward albeit much more slowly than I'd hoped. That said I'm planning to be blogging my new projects from this site on a daily basis starting this week. All my previous 1000+ projects and blog posts can still be found on my Stampin' Up! website at http://tracyelsom.stampinup.net. Today's simple Sunday project is a gift tag. I love the colour combination of Rich Razzleberry, Coastal Cabana and Very Vanilla, and the Rich Razzleberry 1/4" Velvet Ribbon and Tinted Faceted ... VIEW POST
Work in progress…
Oh my goodness setting up my new website and blog has been way more complicated than I ever thought possible. I now realise why people command big bucks to do this for you. So I've decided that instead of waiting until the whole website is set up how I want, I will simply start with my new blog area and gradually introduce the rest of the website as the sections are completed. All my previous blog posts and projects created over the past 4+ years are still accessible via my Stampin' Up! ... VIEW POST
