At last it’s here! After lots of anticipation the Stampin’ Up! 2022/2023 Annual Catalogue is now live for customers. It’s been fun playing with the products I was able to get during the Demonstrator pre-order period. However starting today I now have the whole catalogue to choose from, and it’s hard to decide what to get first. I’ll probably order a couple of stamp sets, some stand-alone dies and maybe some more paper. But while I wrestle with that dilemma, here’s a quick recap of my recent ... VIEW POST
IDEAS Blog Hop: He’s The Man
It’s the first Monday of the month and that means it’s time for another IDEAS blog hop. This month our theme is “fast & fabulous cards”. I decided to create all my cards using the He’s The Man suite on pages 78 and 79 of the 2022/2023 Annual Catalogue that launches tomorrow. So I designed four cards for the IDEAS Tutorial Bundle PDF, and a fifth for today’s final sneak peek. The products in this suite really make it easy to create masculine / gender neutral projects like today's ... VIEW POST
Nature’s Prints Delft Style
And just like that April has gone and May dawned bright (but chilly). The Stampin’ Up! 2022/2023 Annual Catalogue goes live to customers on Tuesday and so this is my penultimate sneak peek project. As it’s also Sunday I have simple project for you that gave me quite the surprise. You see my plan had been to use some more of the Sun Prints DSP alongside the new Nature’s Prints Stamp Set, but my creative muse had other plans. Instead I ended up with this pretty Delft style gift tag. NATURE'S ... VIEW POST
Happiness Abounds All Morning
I must apologise for being late with my blog today. I’ve actually been up for hours and playing with some new products. The problem was that I was having so much fun with the Happiness Abounds suite that I forgot that I was supposed to be writing my blog post! Instead, having made this card, I just kept playing. On the plus side I now have a small pile of projects to bring you over the coming days and weeks. But for now here’s one of the “best wishes” cards. HAPPINESS IS ... VIEW POST
Simply Stunning Sun Prints
A couple of days ago I showed you a sneak peek of the new Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper (DSP). That DSP was full of brightly coloured flowers and completely different from today’s botanical project. When I first saw the Sun Prints 12” x 12” DSP I was immediately drawn to the striking white foliage on a dark blue background. While some sheets have an ‘all-over’ pattern, it was a full-sheet design that caught my eye and it deserved a special place as the cover of my new journal. SUN ... VIEW POST
A Paper Pumpkin Thing: Change Is Beautiful
Change is beautiful especially when winter finally changes to spring. So the April Paper Pumpkin kit was well named with it's caterpillar to butterfly, seedling to flower, and night to day cards. For this month's A Paper Pumpkin Thing blog hop I decided to change one card base into two unique projects. Oh and of course I couldn't resist throwing in a little new catalogue sneak peek too. First up I have this card which uses parts from the kit and a little extra card. I began with the ... VIEW POST
An Adventure With He’s All That
From wildly colourful to something more subdued today. This sneak peek project was the first thing I wanted to make with the new He’s All That Stamp Set. I love this “every day with you is another adventure” sentiment, as I can see so many potential uses for it. The stamp set coordinates with the He’s the Man Designer Series Paper I showcased on Monday’s blog. There’s also coordinating All That Dies and new Rustic Metallic Self-Adhesive Dots that I’ll show you in a few days. But first the ... VIEW POST
Hues Of Happiness Today
After yesterday’s rather masculine tag project today I have something very different. When I first began making cards I didn’t really consider the quality of card and paper I was using and to be honest it showed in my finished projects. Since discovering Stampin’ Up! I’ve come to appreciate good materials and especially beautiful patterned papers. The new 2022/2023 Annual Catalogue has the most amazing collection of paper but one pack particularly stood out for me. It’s called Hues of Happiness ... VIEW POST
Cheers For My Sneak Peek Kick-Off
It's Monday! Not my usual response to the beginning of what I know will be a very busy week, but it's going to be fun. My pre-order of new products from the Stampin' Up! 2022/2023 Annual Catalogue arrived on Friday and I've been playing. This means that today I can start my sneak peek series leading right up until next Tuesday when the new catalogue finally goes live. Today’s project highlights a very interesting take on the Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) concept. I think there’ll be ... VIEW POST
Celebrating With Painted Poppies
Did you know that this month marks 20 years since Stampin’ Up! came to Canada. I was still in the UK then and it would be another 8 years before I moved here and discovered papercrafting. Since becoming an independent demonstrator I’ve had the privilege of writing for Inspiration Canada, the Canadian demonstrators’ monthly newsletter. This month my editor challenged me to design a project using only colours that were available in 2002, So I chose Night of Navy and Real Red and created this ... VIEW POST
