Have you put away all your packs of Christmas patterned paper? I was doing just that when it occurred to me that not every design in the packs was strictly Christmas-themed. That’s how I ended up making this project using the bold flowers and sentiment from the new Sentimental Swirls Stamp Set. Then I realised that the Tailor Made Tags Dies were not orderable. So I decided to hold off showing you the tag until they were back in stock, just in case you want to get the dies too.

TIDINGS OF CHRISTMAS
The idea for this project came to me while I was looking through the Tidings Of Christmas 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper (DSP) Pack. It’s actually from the Stampin’ Up! 2021/2022 Annual Catalogue and so has not yet been retired. There’s some lovely patterns in the pack and I couldn’t resist this one in Soft Succulent. OK, so if you look REALLY closely you’ll notice the odd holly leaf in the pattern, but it certainly doesn’t scream Christmas.
Next I pulled out the Tailor Made Tags Dies. From the two different tag shape options I chose the one with the rounded top. Then from the four different sizes of that tag shape I went with the largest to die-cut the DSP and a piece of Basic White Card. Finally I used the small die with the circles to cut out a scrap of Kraft Paper.
To assemble the tag base I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow). First I glued the DSP and card back to back, then I added a Kraft circle on each side to reinforce the hole at the top. Finally I threaded some white twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack through the hole and tied it in a simple knot.
SENTIMENTAL SWIRLS
Now I was ready for the Sentimental Swirls Stamp Set and the bold four-petal flower outline image.

Using Tuxedo Black ink stamped the flower twice onto a scrap of Basic White Card. Then I coloured them in using Calypso Coral ink and the matching solid flower stamp. With that done it was a simple process to punch them out using the coordinating Flowers & Leaves Punch.
After using liquid glue to fix one flower at the bottom of the tag, I added the second one with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.
Going back to Sentimental Swirls Stamp Set I chose the “thank you” sentiment. Then using Tuxedo Black ink I stamped it onto a scrap of Basic White Card. Next with my Paper Snips I cut around the words and separated them. Finally I mounted the words onto the tag with a few more Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and my project was complete.
I love how quick and easy this tag was to make. Even the colouring was simply a case of looking through the acrylic block and photopolymer stamp to line up the images. I’ve lots more ideas for the Sentimental Swirls Stamp Set so do look out for them. And the ‘swirls’ from the stamp name? You’ll find a card I created using that amazing stamp in my earlier blog post Sentimental Swirls for any occasion.
