From unseasonably warm to more like what we expect here in Nova Scotia at the end of October. We spent the weekend working in the garden getting it ready for the long winter ahead. We have snow forecast for today into tomorrow, and that inspired this card using the Beary Christmas 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper (DSP). With only 8 weeks to the big day it’s time to ramp up that Christmas crafting, and today it was back in with the old (but still available) Brightest Glow Stamp Set.

QUARTER SHEET
This card is another of my quarter sheet designs. That means that just one 6″ x 6″ piece is needed to decorate the envelope along with the front and inside of the card.
So having cut my 6″ x 6″ piece of the snowflake design, I cut a 2-1/4″ x 6″ strip off the top. Next, using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) I attached the paper to the flap of a Basic White Medium Envelope. Then I simply trimmed off the excess DSP with my Paper Snips (using the edge of the flap as my guide).
Going back to the DSP I then cut a 3/4″ x 6″ strip, before trimming it down to 5-1/4″ long. Using liquid glue again I fixed the strip down the right-hand edge of a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White Card.
Only a 3″ x 6″ piece of the DSP remained and I trimmed that to 3″ x 4-1/4″. I set aside the 1-3/4″ x 3″ scrap for another project, before mounting the larger piece onto a 3-1/8″ x 4-3/8″ piece of Night of Navy Card.
Now I was ready to create the A2 card base from Boho Blue Card. After cutting and scoring the card I folded it along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder. Then I added the assembled Basic White layer on the inside using liquid glue.
With that done I glued the large layered snowflake piece in the centre of the card front.
BRIGHTEST GLOW SENTIMENT
All I needed now was a sentiment and for that I reached for the Brightest Glow Stamp Set. I simply adore the large fonts used, and especially how they’re combined to form “Merry Christmas”. Using Night of Navy ink I stamped the sentiment onto a 2″ x 3-3/4″ scrap of Thick Basic White Card. Then I cut it out using the fancy ‘rectangular’ die from the Labels Aglow Dies set.

Now to finish I added the die-cut sentiment to the snowflake layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then I tied a large simple bow using 8″ of silver cord from the Simply Elegant Trim pack. Finally I attached the bow to the sentiment with a Mini Glue Dot and my card was complete.
