We’re now at the point where retiring products are selling out and others are showing as low inventory. So that makes it harder for me to create projects using items are still available to buy. Today I managed it using my favourite but retiring Wrapped in Christmas Stamp Set. I paired it with the tree-scape die from the retiring Home Together Dies. Then I overlaid that onto a stunning design from the retiring Brightly Gleaming Designer Series Paper (DSP).

BRIGHTLY GLEAMING EVERYWHERE
I began my project with a sheet from the the retiring Brightly Gleaming DSP pack. There are lots of amazing designs in this pack but I chose the copper stars on a Night of Navy background.
First I cut a piece 2-1/4″ x 6″ and using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) I fixed it to the flap of a retiring Whisper White Medium Envelope. Then with Paper Snips I trimmed off the excess using the edge of the flap as my guide.
Next I cut a 3/4″ x 5-1/4″ strip of the DSP and glued it along the top edge of a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of retiring Whisper White Card.
For my card base I decided on Thick Whisper White Card. Using my Paper Trimmer I cut and scored the card, then folded it along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder. With that done I fixed the Whisper White layer on the inside with liquid glue.
Now I needed just one last piece of the Brightly Gleaming DSP cut to 3-3/4″ x 5-1/2″. Using more liquid glue I fixed this piece to the front of the card base up against the crease and set it aside.
CHRISTMAS BLESSINGS
I have to say I’m really sad to see the Wrapped in Christmas Stamp Set retiring. It’s been my all-time favourite this season with assorted Christmas sentiments in a variety of fonts and sizes. “Christmas Blessings” is so elegant and I just had to take the opportunity to use it one last time.

First though I used the tree-scape die from the retiring Home Together Dies to cut a layer of retiring Thick Whisper White Card. Then using Night of Navy ink I stamped the sentiment in the space at the bottom of the die-cut layer. Finally using liquid glue I attached the die-cut piece to the bottom of the card front and my project was complete.
The layout of this card is so simple but the copper foil stars, and the contrast between the background and sentiment layer really make this special. I’m so glad I got to show this project before the products used are gone for good.
PRODUCT LIST
RETIRING PRODUCTS – There’s an awful lots of retiring products used on today’s project. However at the time of writing all are still available to purchase, but that could change at anytime. So if you want any Whisper White paper products, the Brightly Gleaming DSP, Wrapped in Christmas Stamp Set or Home Together Dies you need to order them straight away. The DSP is also a steal at 50% off!
The Home Together Dies coordinate with the retiring Coming Home Stamp Set (not used today) and is available as a bundle with a 10% discount. I’m not recommending the bundle though as the dies are now discounted by 30% so you’ll pay less if you buy the two items separately.
