Campology is one of those stamp sets that I knew I wanted as soon as I saw it. Apart from having some great images for masculine projects I immediately loved the large group of trees. I could see this image on lots of projects but my immediate thought was ‘Christmas’. So when I sat down to make 24 cards in 24 hours recently, this was one I had to try.

SNOWMAN SEASON
Despite this project beginning with my idea for the Campology trees, it wasn’t actually the focal point of the card. For that I wanted one of the snowmen from the Snowman Season Stamp Set. In the end I decided the juggling snowman would be perfect.
So using Smoky Slate ink I stamped the snowman onto a layer of Whisper White Card. Then towards the top I stamped “Merry Christmas” (also from the Snowman Season Stamp Set).
On another layer of Whisper White Card I stamped the snowman tight into the bottom right corner. Then I did the same thing on the front of a Whisper White Medium Envelope. This would provide the coordination for the project.
As I was pressed for time I opted to keep the colouring very simple. First, using a Poppy Parade Stampin’ Write Marker (from the Brights collection) I coloured in the scarves. Then with a Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Write Marker (from the Regals collection) I coloured in all three carrot noses.
CAMPOLOGY TREES
Now I was ready to stamp the trees image from the Campology Stamp Set using Mossy Meadow ink.

With the sentiment and snowman in place I knew exactly how much space I had for this large image. There wasn’t enough for the whole thing so I just stamped as much of it as I could. To help give the finished design a sense of scale I made sure to stamp the trees higher up than the snowman. Now they looked to be further back in the distance.
In no time at all it was time to put everything together and for that I needed a card base. First, using my Paper Trimmer I cut and scored a piece of Smoky Slate Card. Then I folded it along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder.
Next, using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) I mounted the completed snowman scene onto the front of the card base. The other Whisper White layer with just the snowman was then glued on the inside.
To finish I coloured in the snow on each of my three snowmen with a Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. Then with a few extra swipes across the ‘ground’ my quick Christmas card was complete.
I was so pleased with this project, that group of trees worked exactly as I’d hoped. It’s also a #simplestamping card that could be quickly mass produced if needed. What do you think?

I was just thinking it was time to start on some Christmas cards , I love this idea. It’s perfect for this year because I wanted something whimsical and fun. Thank you.
