You all know I’m definitely a sucker for cute little animal stamps and am gradually building up quite the collection. One of the great things about these images is that they’re ideal for children’s birthday cards as well as baby cards. That’s what I ended up making this morning. Not that I’d sat down intending to design a baby card. In fact it was the sentiment-only Charming Sentiments Stamp Set that inspired me. Once I’d decided on the sentiment, out came the Easter Bunny Stamp Set. Because, well, why not?

BABY BUNNY
Like many recent projects I decided to keep the colour scheme for my card clean and simple. So I began by cutting a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White Card and pulling out a Basic White Medium Envelope. Then from the Easter Bunny Stamp Set I chose the forward facing bunny.
Using Gray Granite ink I first stamped the bunny in the bottom right corner of the Basic White Card. Next I stamped him in the bottom right corner on the front of the envelope. Finally I stamped him onto a scrap of Basic White Card.
Starting with the bunny on the scrap card I used light and dark Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers to colour his fur. Then I used light and dark Bubble Bath Stampin’ Blends for the insides of his ears. To finish I used the dark Bubble Bath marker to add a touch of colour to the pads on his feet as well as his nose. Then I simply cut him out using my Paper Snips.
With that done I coloured the other two bunnies with just the Bubble Bath markers on his ears, nose and feet. However it appears I neglected the feet of the envelope bunny until after I’d taken the photos!
TWO CHARMING SENTIMENTS
For my A2 card base I used my Paper Trimmer to cut and score some Thick Basic White Card. After folding it along the scored line I sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder.
Now I was ready for my sentiments from the Charming Sentiments Stamp Set. First on the 4″ x 6″ Basic White Layer I used Gray Granite ink to stamp “babies are a blessing”. Then using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) I fixed that layer to the inside of the card base.

For the front I first cut a 3-3/8″ x 4-5/8″ piece of Basic White Card. Then in the centre, about 1″ from the top I stamped “So tiny, so precious” using Gray Granite ink. With that done I cut a 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ piece of Bubble Bath Card and glued the sentiment layer on top.
At last I was ready for my fussy-cut bunny, but not before I scribbled a little light Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends across the bottom left side of the Basic White Card. Then I attached the bunny to the scribbled area using Stampin’ Dimensionals, and added some Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels around him. Finally using more Stampin’ Dimensionals I mounted the assembled layer onto the card front and my project was complete.
