This week the What Will You Stamp? challenge is WWYS203 Colorful Seasons. This is a stamp set I haven’t used in a little while and it was nice to revisit it. It also gave me an excuse to use the Grapefruit Grove Foil Sheet that I chose as my free Sale-A-Bration product with my last order.

COLORFUL SEASONS
As we’re battening down the hatches for a big winter storm, I dream of warmer weather. Well less stormy at least. So I decided to create a large gift tag with pretty florals in bright colours.
I started with the three flower images from the Colorful Seasons Stamp Set and stamped them a few times onto Whisper White Card using Lovely Lipstick ink. Next I used Lovely Lipstick ink to stamp the ‘Congratulations’ sentiment. Finally I added the stamens to the centre of the flowers with Tuxedo Black ink.
SEASONAL LAYERS
Now with my Big Shot and Magnetic Platform I cut out the flowers using the coordinating dies from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits. Then I used the same dies to cut some Pear Pizzazz Card.
Finally I took a piece of Soft Suede Card and attached some Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet to the back, before cutting it out with the branch die.
Now I needed the Stitched Shapes Framelits. First I used the #1 (smallest) oval to cut out the sentiment. Then I used the #4 oval die to cut out a piece of Grapefruit Grove Foil Sheet.
SIMPLE ASSEMBLY
Now I had all the pieces cut I simply had to put everything together.
I started by removing the backing from the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet on the branch. Then I fixed the end of the branch towards the top of the foil oval. I used Paper Snips to trim off the excess, then used some of the trimmings to add a little more branch nearer the top.

Next I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) to attach a couple of the flowers to the green pieces. All I needed was for a little of the green card to peep out like leaves under the petals. Once that was done I attached the flowers to the branch with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then more Stampin’ Dimensionals were used to fix the sentiment towards the bottom of the tag.
Finally I used a 1/8″ Circle Handheld Punch to add a hole at the top of the tag. Then I threaded some Whisper White Solid Baker’s Twine through the hole and tied it in a simple knot. My spring-like gift tag was complete.
I have to say that I really love this new foil, and not just because it’s a Sale-A-Bration item I got for free. The pack contains four 12″ x 12″ sheets of Lovely Lipstick foil and four sheets of this Grapefruit Grove colour. What I really like about the Grapefruit Grove piece is that as it moves in the light it creates an amazing rainbow effect. To get this limited edition foil all you need to do is place an order for at least $60 (before shipping and taxes) and then select it as your free Sale-A-Bration item.
WWYS203 COLORFUL SEASONS

I created my gift tag as part of the What Will You Stamp? Design Team. My hope is that it inspires you to create your own project using at least one image from this set.
Then we’d like you to join our challenge by uploading your project to the gallery for WWYS203 Colorful Seasons.
At the end of the challenge we’ll randomly choose one person to be our winner. They’ll get bragging rights, a badge for their social media and an invitation to be our Guest Designer two weeks later. We’d love to see your ideas for this set.
You’ll find some of my other projects using the Colorful Seasons Stamp set in these earlier blog posts
Meanwhile I’ll be riding out the winter storm. Hot coffee and a desk full of crafting supplies will be just what I need to take my mind off the weather. All being well, I hope you’ll revisit my blog tomorrow to see what I created.
This is really quite exquisite, Tracy!! Love this new foil paper from the Sale-a-Bration pamphlet! You’ve certainly done it proud with this very pretty project! Hope the storm isn’t as bad as expected, but do keep warm ‘n cozy and if you have nothing else to do, you can always CRAFT, right?! Lol
Thank you Geraldine. Luckily we ended up on the warm side of the system although it started as snow it eventually turned to very heavy rain and by this morning it had washed away most of our snow and ice. Unfortunately we’re now in for a return to the deep freeze, so staying in and crafting is definitely my plan.
