It’s cold. You know I always wonder why it is that when the temperature falls close to the freezing mark it feels colder than later in the season when it could be minus 10C. Perhaps it’s just a case of getting used to it. Still it does give me an excuse to curl up in a comfy chair with a good book or two. So there’s no prize for guessing my all-time favourite pattern from the All About Autumn Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack and what I’d do with it.

RICH AUTUMN COLOURS
This project really is all about those gorgeous leather-bound books in rich autumn colours. So I started there and cut a 2″ x 6″ strip along with a 2-1/4″ x 6″ piece of Moody Mauve Card. Then using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) I mounted the paper onto the card leaving an even border at the sides.
Next I added a hole at the top of the layers using the slot option on the Very Best Trio Punch. Then I threaded a 6″ piece of Moody Mauve 3/8″ Textured Ribbon through the slot and secured it in place with a Mini Glue Dot.
Essentially I could have left it there but instead I decided to add a sentiment. I quickly found “just love speding time with you” in the So Sincere Stamp Set and thought it quite apt. So using Early Espresso ink I stamped it onto a scrap of Very Vanilla Card.
Finally I cut out the sentiment using the #3 circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies (counting from the smallest up). Then once I glued it onto the pretty paper my library bookmark was complete. Now I’m off to find another book to read.
