Although I planned to have this blog post done before I started my personal World Cardmaking Day challenge it didn’t happen. So after spending the past 10 hours or so designing and making the first 12 cards I’m taking a little break. It’s just after midnight and a good time to spend a few moments putting the finishing touches to my blog.

SIMPLE BOX WRAP
For this week’s simple Sunday project I decided to do an easy box wrap.
I began by making up a Mini Paper Pumpkin Box. This is plain white with a food-safe lining and I decided to leave the box white.
Then I cut a 2″ x 11″ piece of Petal Pink Card and wrapped it around the box. As I wrapped I used my finger and thumb to gently squeeze the card around the edges of the box. With the join on on the back I overlapped the card ends and secured them to each other with Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Next I chose a pretty Petal Pink floral pattern from the Peony Garden 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. After cutting it down to 4-1/2″ x 10″ I wrapped the DSP around the Petal Pink Card. Then I fixed the ends of the DSP to the card at the back of the box.

BEAUTIFUL MOMENTS
With the box now covered I cut a piece of Petal Pink 5/8″ Organdy Striped Ribbon. I wrapped the ribbon around the box and secured the ends on the front with Tear & Tape Adhesive. Then I tied a simple bow from a second piece of the ribbon and attached it to the box to the ribbon ends.
All I had left to do was create the sentiment label and for that I chose the Beautiful Moments Stamp Set.
Using Petal Pink ink I stamped “thinking of you” onto some Whisper White Card. Then I cut it out using the Timeless Label Punch. Using a little more Tear & Tape Adhesive I fixed the sentiment to the box tucking one end under the bow.
Finally I added three small Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the sentiment and my project was complete.
MARATHON SESSION
At the time this blog post is published I’ll have about 5 hours of my marathon card making challenge left to go. You can follow my progress so far over on my business Facebook page. I’d love for you to leave a comment or words of encouragement as the deadline gets closer and my stress goes up.

So that’s all from me for now. In the meantime here’s the product list for today’s decorated box project.
