I’ve had what I can only describe a a very frustrating morning. I’ve started five projects and none of them were going the way I’d planned. It didn’t help that I have an appointment later and I know I have a lot to do before then. After abandoning my first five projects I finally decided to try something simpler. Much simpler. So “with gratitude” from the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set, this is today’s project.

SMALL AND SWEET
I began with a 3″ x 6″ piece of Whisper White Card, scored on the long side at 3″. After folding it along the scored line I sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder to create a card base.
Next I went looking for a small pattern among my Designer Series Paper (DSP) packs. Eventually I settled on a green design from the Whale of a Time 6″ x 6″ DSP. I cut a 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ piece of the DSP for the front of my card and a 1-3/4″ x 3-1/2″ piece to use on the envelope.
Using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) I attached the first piece to a 2-5/8″ x 2-5/8″ layer of Shade Spruce Card. Then I fixed the assembled layers to the front of my card base.
Next, with more liquid glue I attached the other piece of DSP to the flap of a 3″ x 3″ Whisper White Envelope. Then with Paper Snips I trimmed the DSP using the edge of the flap as a guide.
NOTE – They’re called 3″ x 3″ envelopes but are larger, in fact they are perfectly sized for a 3″ x 3″ card.
WITH GRATITUDE
With the basics done I began looking for an appropriate sentiment. In my head I saw this mini card and envelope being used as a way to leave a message of gratitude to a server. So “with gratitude” from the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set was the perfect choice.

I stamped the sentiment onto a 1-3/8″ x 1-5/8″ scrap of Whisper White Card using Shade Spruce ink. Then with liquid glue I mounted it onto a 1-1/2″ x 1-3/4″ piece of Shaded Spruce Card. With that done I added the sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
All I had left to do was tie a small bow using 3/16″ Braided Linen Trim. Then after attaching it above the sentiment with a Mini Glue Dot I finally had a finished project to share.
It’s so satisfying that having struggled to pull an idea together for several hours this morning, I’ve come up with something that makes me want to make a whole lot more. Creativity is like that sometimes, you just need to find that spark of inspiration.
