Once again I’ve been surprised by the Retiring List, but this time in a good way. This morning I received notification that Stampin’ Up! have updated the Clearance Rack. This is where you’ll find products that retired a while ago and are now discounted for final clearance. With this refresh there’s a whole bunch of autumn and Christmas themed products, including Designer Series Paper that I know people have been looking for. What’s more some of these coordinate with dies and stamp sets that are still currently available. And that’s what led me to the Retiring List and the discovery that some dies on that list are discounted at 75%!
So for today’s blog I decided to revisit projects using some of these discounted products. But pay attention because these items are likely to sell out quickly and permanently.
MAGNOLIA MEMORY
The Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set and Magnolia Memory Dies are both retiring. While the stamp set is not reduced, the dies are now just $12.00 (reduced from $48.00). In the Clearance Rack today you’ll find the Magnolia Lane Bulk Designer Series Paper. This contains twenty 12″ x 12″ sheets (10 sheets each of two double-sided designs) for $13.80.

This card features one of the four paper designs in the special ‘bulk’ pack on the Clearance Rack. You’ll find details of this project in my blog post Any excuse to make a pretty card. However remember that the original DSP link on that post is no longer valid. To purchase the bulk DSP pack you’ll need to use the link below.
BUDDING BLOOMS
Also at 75% off is the Budding Blooms Dies. These coordinate with the retiring Bloom & Grow Stamp Set and were used to create this pretty gift tag. What I really like about this tag is the scalloped edge cut using one of the dies included in this set.

For details of this project see my blog post Rediscovering the Bloom & Grow Stamp Set.
If fancy borders are your thing, then the retiring Ornate Borders Dies at $18.40CAD (60% off) might appeal. You can see one of the simpler borders on this masculine card project from my blog post Let’s leaf it for the guys.

And finally, if you’re looking for cute, make sure you check out the retiring Special Someone Stamp Set and coordinating Special Day Dies. At just $9.75 these dies really are a steal and include a useful ‘speech bubble’. Earlier this month I showcased six different projects using the stamp set and/or dies in my blog post By special request for a special someone. This is just one example from that post.

All in all, it’s definitely worth checking out the Last Chance section of my online store for these and other amazing deals. But don’t forget to look at the refreshed Clearance Rack too for retired products you thought you’d missed.
Of course the reason for retiring some products is to clear the warehouse for new ones. Today, hopefully, I’ll receive my first parcel containing brand new stamp sets, dies, ink pads and card from the 2021/2022 Annual Catalogue. While it’s nice to look back at previous projects, I can’t wait to create new ones to share with you. Watch this space!
