It’s no secret that I love the variety of flower and foliage images and dies offered by Stampin’ Up! It seems like there’s something to suit every occasion, and every size and shape of project. Sometimes I like to mix and match floral products, but not today. Today is all about the beautiful shapes of the Dainty Delight Dies. Keeping it simple, I also opted to use only one colour of ink, Pretty Peacock, with just a little white contrast, plus a sentiment courtesy of the Easter Bunny Stamp Set.

I began with a 2-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Pretty Peacock Card and embossed it using the Crosshatch folder from the Basics 3D Embossing Folders pack. After removing the card from the embossing folder I then lightened it around the edges using a Blending Brush and Whisper White Craft ink.
Next I folded a 4″ piece of Basic White 3/4″ Herringbone Ribbon in half and attached it to the back of the embossed piece using Tear & Tape Adhesive. Then I glued the embossed layer onto a 2-1/4″ x 6″ piece of Basic White Card, sandwiching the ribbon between the two.
With that done I used Pretty Peacock ink to stamp “enjoy all the little moments” from the Easter Bunny Stamp Set into the white space at the bottom.
DAINTY DELIGHT
Now the base was prepared all I needed was the decoration and that’s when I pulled out the Dainty Delight Dies. From the set I chose the curved stem and the die with a line of four individual flowers. Then I die-cut the stem and two sets of flowers from Basic White Card.

Colouring the die-cut pieces was a quick and easy job using Pretty Peacock ink and a Blending Brush. In the end I decided to use the ink quite sparingly on the stems while adding more to the flowers.
Once the inking was complete I glued the stem onto the embossed layer followed by just six of the eight flowers. And with that my pretty bookmark was done.
