It’s Groundhog Day and blooming freezing outside! I’ve just checked Shubenacadie Sam’s Facebook page and she ventured out just long enough to predict six more weeks of winter. Not that I mind, that means six more weeks of keeping warm and entertained in my craft studio. When I was shopping recently I came across a little box of Lindor chocolates that gave me an idea for a Valentine’s Day project. So this morning, having found some coordinating paper in the Delicate Desert Designer Series Paper pack, I set to work.

QUICK START
One of the things I liked about this particular pack of 3 Lindor chocolates was the shape, which really lends itself to a simple wrap. So all I had to so was find some paper that was similar to the colour of the packaging. Having chosen an abstract Cajun Craze pattern from the Delicate Desert Designer Series Paper (DSP) I then needed to measure the box.
Knowing the box was 4-1/4″ wide I cut a long strip of the DSP that size. Then I simply wrapped the paper around the box using my fingers to mark the corners as I went. One I’d worked out where the creases needed to be I placed the paper on the desk and sharpened each one with my Bone Folder.
With that done I trimmed the paper down to 6-1/4″ long to give me enough overlap to join the ends together. Then I wrapped the paper around the box again and using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) fixed ends to each other. Now I had the perfect wrap that allowed the box to slide in and out.
DELICATE DESERT COLOURS
For my sentiment I looked through quite a few stamp sets and eventually settled on one from the Framed Florets Stamp Set. I thought that the long shape and size seemed perfect for this particular box.
So taking my cue from the Delicate Desert DSP I chose Cajun Craze ink and stamped “Just a little reminder that you are loved” onto some Thick Basic White Card.
Next, to cut out the sentiment I found a pretty label shape in the Lights Aglow Dies. Then I added it to the front of the wrap with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Picking up the love theme I found a sweet heart die in the Give It A Whirl Dies and cut two from Thick Basic White Card. Then using a Blending Brush I added a layer of Calypso Coral ink to one of the hearts. For the second heart I continued with the same Blending Brush but using only the ink that was already there. This gave me a softer version of the same colour.
Finally to make this treat a little extra special I added a medium-sized Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the darker heart. Then I glued the lighter heart to the end of my sentiment before adding the jewelled one on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Job done
PRODUCT LIST
BUNDLE BONUS DELAYED – I bought the Framed Florets Stamp Set together with the coordinating Framed Florets Dies (not used today) using a single “bundle” item number. This meant I saved 10% off the cost of buying the same two items separately. I’ve included a link to the bundle in case you want to explore this option. Unfortunately the Framed Florets Dies are currently out of stock so if you want the bundle you’ll need to wait until more are received to place your order. Current estimates are that this will be around March 27th.
