Delightful Triple Layer Tag

June 7, 2019 Leave a Comment

Do you ever have days where things don’t exactly go according to plan? I seem to have had a run of several in a row. So in an effort to get back on track my very late blog post will be shorter than usual. That said, the sun is shining and it’s actually warm, so I was inspired to create this pretty floral gift tag.

Floral congratulations tag created using the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set and coordinating Bouquet Bunch Dies from Stampin' Up!

TRIPLE TAG BASE

My triple tag base was really easy to make using the new Delightful Tag Topper Punch. This punch has three channels designed to feed a 1″, 1-1/2″ or 2″ strip. It might just be my new favourite punch.

I cut some Shimmery White Card 1″ x 3-3/4″, and 2″ x 4-1/4″, and some Rococo Rose Card to 1-1/2″ x 4″. Then I placed each strip inside the punch and punched the top.

Next I used Rococo Rose ink to stamp the ‘Congratulations’ sentiment from the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set on the smaller Shimmery White Strip.

With that done I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) to fix all three layers together, lining up the punched edge. Then I threaded some Mint Macaron twine from the Natures’ Twine pack through the hole and tied it in a simple knot.

BEAUTIFUL BOUQUET

To decorate the tag I went back to the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set.

I stamped two large flowers with Merry Merlot ink. Then three smaller flowers, this time with Merry Merlot ink but stamping off onto scrap paper first. This gave a lighter version of the colour.

Next I used Pineapple Punch ink to stamp two flower centres. Finally I used Mint Macaron ink to stamp 8 small leaves.

Once everything was stamped I cut out each image using coordinating dies from the Bouquet Bunch Dies.

I then assembled the two floral sprays directly into the tag starting with the leaves and small flowers, attaching them with liquid glue.

Finally I added the two larger flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals and my tag was complete.

So that’s it, one very quick, summery tag.

Now I’m determined to catch up with all my half-finished and not yet started tasks, so I’ll say goodbye. I hope you’ll come back again tomorrow when I promise to be much more organised.
