It’s Mother’s Day here in Canada and I’m looking forward to chatting with our daughter and granddaughter later today. It’s also a sad time since I won’t be able to talk with our son who passed away suddenly last year.
So for today’s simple Sunday project I decided to create a bookmark with a sentiment that really spoke to my heart when I saw it. It’s from the new Enjoy Life Stamp Set from the Stampin’ Up! 2018/2019 Annual Catalogue, and rather than explain what I did, I decided to film the process of creating this project.
Whatever you are doing today, I hope you’re able to find a little time for crafting.
First of all, I’m sure this has to be a bittersweet time (and holiday) for you since you lost you son just a year ago … and the bookmark is so appropriate (for all of us, really, if we just take the time to stop and embrace life on a daily basis) … it’s very beautiful. Pleased you’ll be hearing from your daughter and darling little granddaughter in the UK — and hope you have a happy Mother’s Day, despite your losses. I’m guessing you’re just counting the days till you can see them both. Thank you for sharing. From one Mother to another, heartfelt hugs ~ Geraldine
Thank you Geraldine for your very kind words, we know May and June are going to be tough but we’ll get through it. Happy Mother’s Day to you too.
