I’ve been enjoying the unseasonably warm weather this week but today it’s suddenly much colder. Still, I shouldn’t be surprised as it is almost the end of October. At least I can pretend it’s summer indoors with the Framed Florets Stamp Set and coordinating dies. A few days ago I showed you a card using flowers from the limited edition paper. Today’s card however uses just the stamp set and dies to create this pretty celebration card. For my inspiration I used a sketch from the Global Design Project Challenge.

SIMPLE START
I knew from the beginning that I wanted my card to have lots of white space. So I started by using my Paper Trimmer to cut and score some Thick Basic White Card for my card base. Then after folding it along the scored line I sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder and set it aside.
As a background for the flowers I turned to the Neutrals 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. From the 10 colours in the pack I chose Smoky Slate and from the four designs I went with the plaid pattern. I cut a 2-1/2″ x 3″ piece of the DSP along with a 2-5/8″ x 3-1/8″ piece of Cherry Cobbler Card. Then I mounted the DSP onto the card using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) before gluing the layers to the card base.
For my sentiment I chose the very simple “Celebrate!” from the Framed Florets Stamp Set and Tuxedo Black ink. I stamped it onto Thick Basic White Card then cut it out using a die from the Seasonal Labels Dies set. Once cut I added it to the centre of the plaid layer with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
That just left the floral elements to do.
RICH COLOURED FLORETS
So now from the Framed Florets Stamp Set I chose the two individual flowers and the image with a pair of leaves. Using Tuxedo Black ink I stamped two of the larger flowers and three of the smaller ones onto some scraps of Thick Basic White Card. I also stamped four pairs of leaves.
Colouring the images was quick and easy using Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. I chose light and dark Cherry Cobbler for the flower petals and dark So Saffron for the centres. On the leaves I used light and dark Mossy Meadow.

Having finished colouring the images I cut them out using the coordinating dies from the Framed Florets Dies set. Then using liquid glue I attached the leaves and the smaller flowers on two diagonally opposite corners of the plaid layer. Finally, using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals I added the two larger flowers.
That just left the inside of the card and envelope to decorate and for that I chose the larger of the two flowers. Using Tuxedo Black ink once again, I stamped the flower in the centre near the top of a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Basic White Card. Then I stamped the flower in the centre of the flap of a Basic White Medium Envelope. After colouring the flowers to match the others I glued the white layer inside the card base and my project was complete. I hope you like it.
And here’s the sketch from the Global Design Project Challenge #GDP366 that inspired me.
