It’s Monday, and time for another What Will You Stamp? challenge. Of course as a member of the Design Team that means I have to come up with something to inspire you. The rules are the same, chose at least one stamp from the featured set and use it to create an inspiring project. This week the challenge is #WWYS215 Flourishing Phrases. So I decided to team that with a retiring stamp set to create a vintage-style wedding card.

TIMELESS TEXTURES
Although the challenge stamp set is Flourishing Phrases, my project began with the retiring Timeless Textures. To start, I used Mint Macaron ink to randomly stamp the ‘leafy’ image all over a layer of Whisper White Card.
Then on another layer of Whisper White Card I stamped the image just coming in from the four corners. I did the same thing on the front of a Whisper White Medium Envelope too.
Then I swapped to Soft Sea Foam ink and the long hazy border from Timeless Textures. The border was stamped all round the edges of both Whisper White pieces and the envelope.
TWO FLOURISHING PHRASES
For my wedding card actually wanted two sentiments from the Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set.
First I stamped ‘good thing you get to bring your best friend along’ in the centre of the bordered Whisper White Layer using Mint Macaron ink. This would be the liner for the inside of my card.

Then I stamped ‘Marriage is a journey’ onto a separate piece of Whisper White Card. Around this sentiment I then used Soft Sea Foam ink to stamp the hazy border image. I prepared this main sentiment for the front of the card by punching it out using the Everyday Label Punch.
Now I just needed one final piece, a mat for my main sentiment.
I found what I needed in the Stitched Labels Dies, a large fancy label big enough for my punched piece. So with my retiring Big Shot I cut out a piece of Mint Macaron Card with the die. Then I attached the sentiment to it using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow). To finish, I added some Mint Macaron accents from the retiring Faceted Dots pack.

FINAL ASSEMBLY
Now I’d stamped, punched and cut I was ready to put it all together.
I went back to Mint Macaron for my card base, cut and scored using my retiring Stampin’ Trimmer. Then I folded the card along the scored lines and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder.
Next I used liquid glue to attach liner piece on the inside of the card. Then the all-over stamped layer was added to the front.
The last step was the main sentiment which I fixed to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I simply love this card. Vintage is not really my style but this came together so easily it almost made itself! Oh I’m going to miss the Timeless Textures Stamp Set.

So that’s my project created using stamps from the Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set, now it’s your turn.
Create a new project (it doesn’t have to be a card) using at least one stamp from Flourishing Phrases. Then upload it to the challenge gallery for #WWYS215 Flourishing Phrases so we can all see it.
At the end of the challenge we’ll randomly choose one person to be our weekly winner. They’ll get bragging rights and a winner’s badge for their social media. They’ll also receive an invitation to be our Guest Designer two weeks later. So what are you waiting for?
