A couple of weeks ago I brought you what I thought would be my last project using the retiring Framed Florets Stamp Set. While making that card I stamped and coloured a Basic White layer for the inside but then changed the orientation of the card. But as I didn’t want the decoration at the side of the layer I redid it and set the other piece aside. Yesterday while tidying up I came across the discarded layer and decided to make a gift tag so it wouldn’t be wasted.

SIDEWAYS FLORETS
At the time I’d stamped the image from the Framed Florets Stamp Set onto Basic White Card using Tuxedo Black ink. To colour the image I chose three sets of retiring Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. Starting with the leaves I used the light and dark Mint Macaron markers. Then for the flowers I went with light and dark So Saffron. Finally I used the dark Soft Suede on the two smallest flower centres, leaving the light Soft Suede for the oval buds.
So all I needed now was a sentiment and for that I went back to the Framed Florets Stamp Set. With the design on the left I stamped “celebrate!” close to the bottom of the image using Tuxedo Black ink.
With that done I just had to cut it out using a die from the Tailor Made Tags Dies. The largest size of both styles of die would work, but in the end I settled on the die with the fancy top.
Stampin’ Blends are designed to saturate cardstock with colour and I wanted to disguise this. So next I cut a piece of retiring So Saffron Card using the same Tailor Made Tags die. Then using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) I glued the two tags together back-to-back.
As this was a celebration tag I thought it would be appropriate to add a little bling. So I fixed a retiring Pearl Basic Jewel to the centre of each flower.
Finally I cut 6″ of silver cord from the Simply Elegant Trim Pack and threaded it through the hole created by the die. Once I’d tied the cord with a simple knot my project was complete.
You’ll find my original card using the same floral image in my earlier blog post Framed Florets finale.
