After yesterday’s torrential downpours I’ve decided I’m done with the rain. We definitely needed it, but I’d be happier if Mother Nature restricted the deluge to the wildfire areas in the south of the province now. The weather doesn’t even need to be terribly warm, I’d just like to see a blue sky again. While I wait I’ll have to be satisfied with today’s card project using a design from the Fresh As A Daisy 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack together with the Go To Greetings Stamp Set.

FRESH COLOURS
I began this card with the sheet of white daisies against a blue background. The sheet is designed with the daisies towards the bottom and lots of blue towards the top. So I cut a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece, making sure I kept enough blue at the top for my sentiment, but not too much.
Next, from the Go To Greetings Stamp set I chose the large “Thinking of you” sentiment. Using VersaMark ink I stamped it in the blue space on my DSP. Then I sprinkled the sticky ink with copper powder from the Metallics Embossing Powders pack. After tapping off the excess, I removed a few stray specks before melting the rest using my Heat Tool set on 2 (high). With that done I added three Boho Blue embellishments from the 2023-2025 In Color Dots pack.
For my colour scheme I took my cue from the paper itself. So next I cut and scored some Copper Clay Card. Then I folded it along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder to create an A2 card base.

Next I cut a 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ piece of Boho Blue Card and mounted the DSP on top using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow). Then I added the completed layers to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
All I had to do now was decorate the inside of the card and the envelope. So going back to the same Fresh As A Daisy sheet I cut a 3/4″ x 5-1/4″ strip. Using liquid glue I fixed the narrow strip down the right-hand side of a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White Card. Then I glued the assembled layer inside the card base.
Finally I cut a 2-1/4″ x 6″ piece of the daisy paper and glued that to the flap of a Basic White Medium Envelope. I trimmed off the excess with my Paper Snips, using the edge of the flap as a guide. And just like that my project was complete.
