I’ve made a lot of gift tags over the years. Probably most of them were for Christmas, closely followed by birthdays. What I don’t think I’ve made very often is a tag for an anniversary. Of course when you think of anniversary you probably think of wedding anniversary, but there are others too. Anniversary of when you met, or got a new job, or moved house. The anniversary list could be endless. So here’s my gift tag for a million different occasions.

THE TAG BASE
I began with a piece of Soft Sea Foam Card and stamped the Crackle Paint background stamp using Soft Sea Foam ink.
Then using my Big Shot and Magnetic Platform I set to work cutting the various layers with dies from the Layering Ovals Framelits.
The Soft Sea Foam piece was cut with the #6 plain-edged die (counting from the smallest up). Then I cut some Whisper White Card with the #7 plain-edged die. Finally I cut some Gold Sheet using the #6 scalloped-edged die from the set.
Next, using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) I fixed the layers together before punching an oval hole at the top with the Detailed Trio Punch.
BEAUTIFUL BOUQUET
Now was time to get to work on the flowers for the bouquet.
I began with the large six-petalled flower from the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set. Using a Sponge Dauber I added Berry Burst ink directly to the surface of the photopolymer stamp. Next I added some Fresh Fig ink around the edges of the petals, and then stamped the flower onto Whisper White Card. I created a second large flower in exactly the same way.
For the 3 other flowers I used the smaller 6-petalled flower image and started with Powder Pink ink applied using a Sponge Dauber. This time I edged the petals with Berry Burst ink before stamping onto the Whisper White Card.
Finally I completed each flower using Tuxedo Black ink to stamp the circular stamen image in the centre.
Then it was back to the Big Shot and Magnetic Platform to cut out the flowers using coordinating dies from the Bouquet Bunch Framelits. While I was there I also cut out the multi-stem shape from Lemon Lime Twist Card.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY
Very quickly I was ready to start putting everything together.
Using liquid glue I started by attaching the stems to the tag. Then added one of the larger flowers and two smaller ones. The remaining two flowers were fixed using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Next I used Tuxedo Black ink to stamp the Happy Anniversary sentiment from the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set onto Whisper White Card. I cut out the sentiment with Paper Snips and attached that to the tag with more Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then I used the Paper Snips again to trim off the ends of the stems following the edge of the tag base.
Finally I threaded a loop of Whisper White 1/8″ Sheer Ribbon through the hole in the top of the tag. Once I’d threaded the cut ends of the ribbon through the loop and pulled tight to secure it, my anniversary tag was done.
The Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set has been available for a couple of years and I think it’s one that may have been overlooked by many people. It’s a 37 piece photopolymer stamp set including 15 sentiments for both the outside and inside of cards (and tags). In the coordinating Bouquet Bunch Framelits you’ll find 21 dies that coordinate with, and compliment the stamp set. It’s certainly worth a second look.
DISAPPEARING DIES
Late yesterday afternoon, Stampin’ Up! announced that some of the dies in the 2019 Occasions Catalogue are selling fast and they are unable to get further stocks before the catalogue is due to expire. As a result, the Doily Builder Thinlits Dies (OC page 47) have already sold out and are no longer available. A number of other dies are also likely to sell out before the end of the Occasions Catalogue period, and when this happens they too will be discontinued. The affected die sets are the Wonderful Floral Framelits (OC page 11) , Rose Trellis Thinlits (OC page 9) and Detailed Birthday Edgelits (OC page 17). If you are considering purchasing any of these dies, or the bundles in which they feature, please do so as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

This could quite possibly be my MOST favourite ever gift tag you’ve done (& you’ve done some beauties!!) … love that stamp bundle too, and with us just having celebrated our 50th Anniversary, the gold scallop around the outside resonated that much more! GORGEOUS! TFS
Thank you Geraldine, and congratulations to you both on 50 years of marriage.
