Today’s project is a quick and easy one using two stamp sets from the 2019 Holiday Catalogue that are not retiring. I love simple scenes and delicate sentiments like the Blessed Christmas Wishes and find them so calming. I’ve also included a little sneak peek from the Mini Catalogue that starts out on January 3rd.

A NEW COLOUR!
I couldn’t resist using this new colour of ink that will be available to customers starting on January 3rd. It’s called Saddle Brown and it’s a StazOn permanent ink (similar to Jet Black which we’ve had for a while).
On a piece of Fluid100 Watercolor Paper I first stamped the deer image from the Nature’s Beauty Stamp Set. Then I added the shrub image on the left, and part of the same image on the right.
I used the shrub image again in the bottom right corner on the front of a Very Vanilla Medium Envelope. Then I stamped it once more in the bottom right corner on a layer of Very Vanilla Card.
Next I pressed onto the lid of my closed Seaside Spray ink pad to transfer some of the ink to the inside of the lid. Then when I opened it I was able to add a drop of water from my Aqua Painter. Once I’d mixed the water and ink I painted a light ‘wash’ over most of the watercolor paper.
With that done I pressed onto the lid of the Gray Granite ink pad so I could use that ink to ‘paint’ the deer image. Then I set the piece aside to dry thoroughly.

BLESSED CHRISTMAS WISHES
I found the delicate “blessed Christmas wishes” sentiment in the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set. It fitted perfectly onto a scrap of the Fluid100 Watercolor Paper I’d found, and I stamped it with Saddle Brown ink.
All I needed to do now was put my card together.
I began by creating my card base from Thick Very Vanilla Card. Then using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) I fixed the stamped Very Vanilla layer on the inside.
Once the painted panel was dry I mounted it onto Early Espresso Card using liquid glue, then added it to the card base.
Next I attached the sentiment strip to a strip of Early Espresso Card with liquid glue. Then using Stampin’ Dimensionals I added the sentiment to the painted panel and I was done.
I love how quick and easy this card was to put together. Sometimes it’s nice to step away from all the bright and shiny projects and do something more peaceful don’t you think?

Quite exquisite in it’s beauty and simplicity, Tracy. The two colours together are very soft and complementary also. This is such a beautiful stamp set also. TFS
Thank you Geraldine
