Well it seems the weather forecast changed again while I wasn’t looking. Our first snowfall of the season started late yesterday afternoon and continued into the evening. This morning we awoke to about an inch of snow on the ground. It’s the kind of snow I like, clean and white and not very deep. Despite the below zero temperature it’s now melting away in the bright sunshine. I suspect by this afternoon it will have all gone. Until the next time.
So this morning I decided to make a simple bookmark using a scrap of Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP).

SNOW EASY
I began with a 2″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Thick Whisper White Card shaped at the top using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.
Then using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) I attached a 1-3/4″ x 4-5/8″ piece of the Let It Snow DSP.
The “believe” sentiment comes from the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set stamped onto a scrap of Thick Whisper White Card using Blueberry Bushel ink. Then I punched it out using the 1″ Circle Punch and added it to the bookmark with liquid glue.
Finally I threaded some Silver 3/8″ Metallic Edge Ribbon through the slot and secured it in place with a Mini Glue Dot on each side.
I love making the most of every scrap of patterned paper and card and this project does just that.
MORE PAPER PUMPKIN CLUES
Tomorrow is your final chance to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin to get the November kit. We already know that the kit will include everything you need to make 24 large gift tags (6 each of 4 different designs). We’ve also been told that the kit will coordinate with the Winter Woods kit sent to subscribers last month. Now I have some more clues to share with you…

Like last month’s card kit the tags will have a wintery nature theme. In addition we’ve been told that there will be pre-printed die cuts like deer, sleds, cardinals, trees, and snowflakes! If you don’t need 24 tags, simply add some cardstock and turn them into cards. My plan is to make some to coordinate with my alternate card ideas shown on the Paper Pumpkin Facebook Live last month. These incorporated Night of Navy Card. But you could also use Early Espresso, Poppy Parade, Shaded Spruce or Pool Party Card if you choose. I’m really excited about this kit and can’t wait to get it in my hands.
I think this month is the perfect time to take Paper Pumpkin for a test drive. If you live in Canada you can subscribe here, and the kit will be shipped towards the end of the week. Then when it arrives if you really don’t like it, let me know right away and I’ll arrange for you to receive a refund. You don’t have to subscribe for a fixed number of kits, and there’s no penalty if you decided to unsubscribe.
