Happy Thanksgiving everyone. My project today is a way to be reminded of all the things we are thankful for.

TWO PAPER DESIGNS
I began this bookmark with two different sheets from the Come To Gather 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. One design was a pretty maple leaf pattern and the other was a simple lined design.
I began with the maple leaf piece and wiped the bottom of the strip with an Embossing Buddy to remove any oils and static. Then I found the (almost) perfect sentiment “I am thankful for you” in the Painted Harvest Stamp Set. I decided to alter this slightly for my project.
I inked up the sentiment using VersaMark ink before covering the word ‘you’ with a piece of sellotape. Then I stamped the sentiment onto the bottom of the maple leaf DSP strip. With that done I sprinkled the VersaMark with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and tapped off the excess. Then I removed a few stray specks of powder before melting the rest with my Heat Tool set on 2 (high).
PUTTING IT TOGETHER
I was now ready to assemble my bookmark.
First I cut a 2″ x 5-1/2″ strip of Whisper White Card. Then using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) I fixed the DSP to each side of the card strip and let it dry for a minute.
Once it was dry I shaped and added a hole at the top of the strip in one go using the Delightful Tag Topper Punch. The bottom corners were shaped using the corner rounder option on the Detailed Trio Punch.
Then to finish off I took four 6″ pieces of Whisper White Bakers Twine and threaded them through the hole at the top of the bookmark. Finally with them tied in a simple knot, my project was complete.
THANKFUL FOR …
Now all I have to do is use the lined DSP on the back of the bookmark to list what I am thankful for. Starting with…
You!
Whatever you have planned for today, I wish you a peaceful and happy Thanksgiving.
