Three weeks today I will get my hands on the Stampin’ Up! 2019/2020 Annual Catalogue and I can’t wait! Of course there will be a tinge of sadness as I’ll also see what products we are losing. The 2019 Retiring List will be officially revealed on April 15th and then the madness will begin. I’ve already noticed that stocks of some of the 2017/2019 InColors are starting to show ‘low inventory’ which doesn’t surprise me. These will definitely be retiring and could be among the first items to go out of stock.
I’ve really enjoyed these InColors and will definitely be sad to see them go. They are bright and colourful, and I thought, perfect for pairing with the Tropical Chic Stamp Set and coordinating dies.

BOLD BASE AND BACKGROUND
I decided to start with Berry Burst Card. I cut and scored it using my Stampin’ Trimmer, folded it along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder.
Then I took a layer of Whisper White Card and stamped part of the Burlap background across one corner using Tranquil Tide ink. This layer was fixed to the front of the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow).
TIP – Once you’ve stamped an image don’t leave the ink pad open while you play with other things.
Next I took another layer of Whisper White Card and using scrap paper, covered all but a 1″ strip down the right-hand side. Then I stamped the notched leaf from the Tropical Chic Stamp Set on the card using Lemon Lime Twist ink. This layer was then added to the inside of the card base with liquid glue.
Finally I decided to stamp the leaf all over the flap of a Whisper White Medium Envelope.
TROPICAL CHIC
Now I was ready to get to work on the floral pieces for the front of my card.
First I used Lemon Lime Twist ink to stamp the notched leaf twice onto Lemon Lime Twist Card.
Then I inked up the flower from the Tropical Chic Stamp Set with Powder Pink ink. Before stamping it, I carefully touched the corner of the Berry Burst ink pad onto the stamens of the the flower. Then I stamped the bi-coloured image onto Powder Pink Card.
Now I was ready to cut out the pieces using my Big Shot and Magnetic Platform with the coordinating dies from the Tropical Thinlits.
One last piece of stamping was needed, the ‘with much love and thanks’ sentiment. I used Fresh Fig ink to stamp it onto a strip of Whisper White Card.

2017/2019 INCOLORS
To complete the project I used liquid glue to attach the two leaves to the stamped background layer on my card. Then while reaching for the flowers I accidentally put three of my fingers onto the Tranquil Tide ink pad (and never noticed!).
It wasn’t until I was moving the sentiment strip to get to the flowers that I realised I’d added great big green fingerprints to it. Luckily the strip needed trimming down and after washing my hands thoroughly I was able to cut off most of the unintended ink. Most, but not all.
The remaining smudge of ink would dictate how I finished the card.
I used liquid glue to attach one of the flowers to the left and below the sentiment. Phew no one will ever know what’s underneath. Then I attached the sentiment to the front of my card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Finally I tucked the remaining flower under the top edge of the sentiment and my tropical-themed 2017-2019 InColors project was complete.
I really love how this card and envelope turned out. All five of the 2017-2019 InColors work so well together, I’m honestly going to miss them. What about you?

The 2017-2019 InColors are all retiring, of this there is absolutely no doubt. This means that no only the ink pads, ink refills, Stampin’ Write Markers and card, but also any other products that include these colours. If you want to stock up, please place your order well before April 15th to ensure you are not disappointed. You’ll find all the 2017-2019 InColor Products in my online store.
PRODUCT LIST
BUNDLE BONUS – I purchased the Tropical Chic Stamp Set and coordinating Tropical Thinlits Dies using a single ‘bundle’ item number. That meant that I saved 10% off the cost of buying the same two items separately. Like all bundles, this one is guaranteed to retire by June 3rd, even if the individual items are carried over. So if you want the stamp set and dies at a discount you might want to consider getting these sooner rather than later. I’ve included both options in my product list so you can look at your options in more detail if you wish.
Oh my! Going to be CASING this one Tracy! Love it! Like you I’ve really enjoyed all these In Colours and I’m well stocked with C/S and re-inkers already! Love how you’ve used the Tranquil Tide for the Burlap background stamp in behind the rest … so pretty!! Looking forward to seeing the new In Colours; that’s always the highlight of the new catalogue for me!! TFS!
Thank you Geraldine. I always look forward to the new colours, I hope the 2019-2021 set play well together like these one did.
