This morning I woke up and just wanted to create something quick and easy. So with the Inspiring Iris Stamp Set, one ink pad and some Stampin’ Blends I created this pretty bookmark.

INSPIRING IRIS FIRST
It was the Inspiring Iris Stamp Set that inspired my project on a 2″ x 5-1/2″ strip of Thick Whisper White Card.
I began by stamping the iris outline using Crumb Cake ink. Then I coloured in the flower heads using the Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. I finished the colouring using Old Olive Stampin’ Blends on the leaves.
Going back to the Inspiring Iris Stamp Set I chose “you are somebody who makes everybody feel like somebody” for my sentiment. Then I stamped it above the flowers using the same Crumb Cake ink.
ONE PUNCH DOES IT ALL
Turning the card strip into a bookmark was a simple process using the Detailed Trio Punch. First I punched the oval hole at the top. Then using the corner rounder option on the same punch I shaped all four corners.

Finally to finish the project I chose some Old Olive ribbon from the All The Trimmings Ribbon Combo Pack. After threading it through the hole I simply tied it in a simple knot to secure it. One pretty project in double-quick time.
