You all seemed to love the lupins in my garden yesterday and photos like that are a great resource in papercrafting. I used that photo as inspiration for the colours of the lupins and leaves on my card project. But as I looked at the photo again later I was struck by all the different leaves out there. Of course when you deliberately let an area go wild that will happen. So today’s quick project is just about the leaves, and taking advantage of a coordinating stamp set and punch.

SIMPLE LEAVES
After all the colour on yesterday’s “thinking of you” lupin card I wanted to do something much simpler today. So I began by cutting a tag base from Thick Basic White Card using the largest of the fancy topped dies in the Tailor Made Tags Dies set.
Next, from the Layering Leaves Stamp Set I chose the image that looks to me like a stem of coffee beans. Using Wild Wheat ink I first stamped the leaves onto the die-cut tag. Then from the Layering Leaves Stamp Set I chose “for you”. Changing to a Copper Clay ink pad I stamped the sentiment above the image on my tag.

Now I needed that leaf image again and using Wild Wheat ink as before I stamped it onto a scrap of Basic White Card. Then I lined up the image in the coordinating Bough Punch and punched it out. To attach the punched piece to the tag I fixed pieces of Stampin’ Dimentionals to the back of the five largest leaves. Then I added a tiny drop of Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) to the end of the stem and pressed it onto the tag.
Finally I cut 6″ of Wild Wheat Twine from the 2023-2025 In Color Jute Twine Pack. This twine is quite thick so for this project I decided to untwist the twine and separate it into three strands. I set two strands aside and tied the third to the tag. And just like that today’s much simpler project was complete.
