Only a few days left in October and the temperature has suddenly taken a dive here in Nova Scotia. There’s even the threat of a little snow in the forecast over the coming days! So while I head to the closet to pull out some warmer clothes, here’s a touch of spring for this month’s Share It Sunday blog hop. If you don’t recognise the paper that’s because it’s being added to the Online Exclusives range on November 6th. Called “Meandering Meadows”, this 6” x 6” paper pack is gorgeous!

JUST CHOP IT!
The Meandering Meadows 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack contains 48 sheets (four each of 12 double-sided designs). These hand-painted scenes are stunning and I predict this DSP is going to be very popular. I’ll show you the entire pack next week, but for today I have a simple idea to show off two of the designs.
I started both projects by cutting a 2″ wide strip off the left-hand side of two of the sheets.
For the piece with the tree I first cut a 2-1/4″ x 6-1/4″ piece of Garden Green Card. Then using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow) I mounted the paper on top, leaving an even border on all sides. Next I punched a hole at the top using the slot option on the Very Best Trio Punch. Finally I cut two 6″ pieces of Crumb Cake twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack. Then I folded them in half and poked the loops through the slot, before threading the cut ends through the loops and pulling gently to secure them in place.

For the second strip of paper I cut a 2-1/4″ x 6-1/4″ piece of Night of Navy Card. Once again I glued the paper onto the card and punched a slot at the top. However with the larger area of ‘sky’ I decided to step up this project with some simple stamping.
So from the So Sincere Stamp Set I chose “hope your day is a happy one”. Then using Night of Navy ink I simply stamped the sentiment onto the DSP strip.
To finish I cut a 6″ piece of Night of Navy 3/8″ Bordered Ribbon. After threading it through the slot I fixed it in place with Mini Glue Dots and my second bookmark was complete.
I love creating quick and easy projects for my Simple Sunday blog posts. These certainly fit the bill, with an added ‘wow factor’ don’t you think?
