Back at the beginning of September I was part of the IDEAS blog hop when our theme was inspirations. For that I used a colour combination inspired by a card I’d seen on Facebook. Today’s project also draws on a colour combination I’d come across, but this time it’s the October 2026 Paper Pumpkin kit called Noel Greetings. That kit coordinates with the Neutral Noel Suite on pages 16 and 17 of the current catalogue. So, using the Neutral Noel Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP), I created this elegant non-Christmas card.

I started by choosing the more subtle background design and cut a 6″ x 6″ piece. The design I chose has a very definite direction so knew I had to pay attention when when cutting and assembling the various pieces. From my 6″ x 6″ piece I began by cutting a 2-1/4″ high x 6″ wide piece across the top. Then I glued it to the flap of a Basic White Medium Envelope and cut off the excess with scissors, using the edge of the flap as a guide.

For my A2 card base I chose Mossy Meadow Card and cut a piece 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Then with the long side at the top I scored the card at 4-1/4″ and folded it along the scored line before sharpening the crease with a Bone Folder. Returning to my DSP I cut a strip 1/2″ high x 6″ wide and then trimmed that to 4″. After cutting a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White Card I checked the direction of the pattern before gluing the narrow strip of DSP along the bottom edge. Then I fixed the assembled layer inside my card base.

Now all I had left to do was decorate the front of the card. So I started with what was left of the DSP and cut it to 3-1/4″ high x 4-1/4″ wide (and set the remaining piece aside for another project). Next I cut a 3-3/8″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Basic Beige Card and glued my DSP on top (leaving an even border at the top and bottom). Then, after once again checking the direction of the pattern, I glued the layers onto my card front, 1″ from the top edge.

To accentuate the foiling on the Neutral Noel DSP I decided I needed a little more gold. So I put some Adhesive Sheet on the back of a strip of Gold Foil Sheet. Then I cut the foil using the long chain die from the Gears & Textures Dies. After removing the backing paper from the Adhesive Sheet I pressed the gold chain onto the DSP layer 5/8″ from the left side.

For my sentiment I turned to the Traditional Labels Stamp Set and chose “Just for you”. Using Mossy Meadow ink I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of Basic White Card. Then I punched it out using the 1-7/8″ Circle Punch. For the mat layer I chose Mossy Meadow Card and punched that out with the 2″ Circle Punch. Using liquid glue I mounted the sentiment on top, then added three Old Olive circles from the Dewdrops Embellishments pack. Finally I layered the assembled sentiment over the lower part of the gold chain with Stampin’ Dimensionals and my card was complete.

I love how this card turned out. The Neutral Noel Suite is my favourite from the new catalogue and I’m excited that the October Paper Pumpkin Kit will coordinate with it.
