Woo hoo! It’s June 4th and that means that later today everyone can start ordering from the Stampin’ Up! 2019/2020 Annual Catalogue. The techies are busy working on the switchover right now and we’ve been told that ordering will be available by noon MT. Of course they, and us, are hoping it might happen a little sooner than that.
I’m sure you’re eager to work on your wishlist so today’s project is a quick 3″ x 3″ card created using products from the Bird Ballad suite.

BEAUTIFUL BIRD PAPER
This may be a small card, but I have to say the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper (DSP) is the star of the show.
I cut a piece of Thick Whisper White Card 3″ x 6″ and scored it at 3″. Then I folded it along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder.
Next I cut a 3″ x 3″ piece of the Bird Ballad Designer DSP and attached it to the front of the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow).
On the inside of the card I added a 1″ strip of the DSP down the right-hand edge.
Finally I glued some more of the paper to the flap of a 3″ x 3″ Envelope. This envelope is actually 3-1/8″ x 3-1/8″ so the card will fit just fine. Anyway, with the DSP attached I cut it to shape with my Paper Snips using the edge of the envelope flap as a guide.

FREE AS A BIRD
With the DSP all done I turned to the Free As A Bird Stamp Set for my sentiment.
I chose “The world needs more of you” and stamped it onto Whisper White Card with Old Olive ink.
Then I cut out the sentiment using the #3 die from the Stitched Nested Labels Dies (counting from the smallest up).
With the sentiment ready, I tied a length of Linen Thread around the front of the card in a simple bow. Then I added the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals and my project was complete.
I don’t often make 3×3 cards, but this is a good way to use up scraps of pretty Designer Series Paper. The finished cards can be given away as cards, or used as large gift tags. I may have to make a few more of these and add them to a Mini Pizza Box as a gift.
If you subscribed to Paper Pumpkin last month and received the Hugs from Shelli kit, you’ll find that it coordinates perfectly with the Bird Ballad Suite. It’s a great way to get even more use from the exclusive stamp set you received.
