Every now and then I get a bit guilty about some of the Stampin’ Up! products I have that haven’t seen a great deal of use, and today was one of those days. As I was looking through my new stamp sets for inspiration I picked up Beautiful Promenade and noticed a little P.S. stamp. While I didn’t end up using that stamp set on today’s project it certainly influenced it in a big way.
As you can probably imagine I began this project with my Big Shot and Magnetic Platform, using it to cut out 3 each of the P, S and : from Whisper White Card using dies from the Large Letters Framelits.
Then I took one of each of the letters and two of the little ovals created by the colon die and with a Stampin’ Spritzer very lightly misted them with clean water. If you’ve been following my blog for the past few weeks you won’t be entirely surprised to hear that I then placed the spritzed pieces into the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I placed the embossing folder directly onto my multipurpose platform with a single cutting pad on top and ran it twice through the Big Shot. Then I took out the embossed pieces and set them aside to dry.
While I was there I also embossed a layer of Whisper White Card following the same process as for the letters.
Then I needed the second part of my sentiment and for this I pulled out a stamp set I haven’t used is far too long, Thoughtful Banners. This stamp set is full of simple sentiments and individual words that can be combined, but for my purpose today I wanted the ‘I love you’. I stamped it onto a scrap of Whisper White Card using Blueberry Bushel ink and then using my Big Shot and Magnetic Platform cut it out with the small rectangular die from the Stitched Labels Framelits. This die cuts an elegant scalloped edge along the bottom and adds a line of faux stitching along the top. I then cut out two more pieces from Whisper White Card and glued them all together with the stamped sentiment on the top.
Next came the card base, created uUsing my Stampin’ Trimmer to cut and score a piece of Thick Whisper White Card, then I folded it along the scored line and sharpened the crease with a Bone Folder.
On the front of the card base I attached the embossed Whisper White layer with Mulitpurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow), followed by a piece of the Blueberry Bushel striped design from the 2018-2020 In Color 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper (DSP) Pack.
Going back to my die-cut letters and mini ovals I used liquid glue to stack them together with the embossed pieces on the top. These were fixed onto the DSP with liquid glue. Finally I added the stacked ‘I love you’ sentiment and the front of the card was complete.
For the inside of the card I took a layer of Whisper White Card and used liquid glue to attach a narrow strip of the same DSP along the top edge then fixed the layer inside the card base.
I finished the project by using liquid glue to attach the same DSP design to the flap of a Whisper White Medium Envelope and cut it to shape with Paper Snips.
Clean and simple, but with lots of interest, this ‘P.S.’ card could be adapted for just about any occasion you can think of.

This is great, Tracy! First of all, it looks so fresh and clean in the blue and white (with the new Blueberry Bushel) … and that wonderful embossing folder again! Love how you’ve stacked the letters for more impact, and that little “I love you” label is perfect with it’s extra detailing. Fabulous card!!!
Thank you Geraldine, I thought it would make a nice change to have a ‘love you’ card that’s without any red.
