Since discovering Stampin' Up! I've changed the way I look at things. It wasn't a deliberate decision, but rather crept up on me somewhat. I no longer see in colour, or even 'glorious technicolor', no I see in Stampin' Up! colour! It's not a bad thing by any means, as a piece of knitwear in a store provided the inspiration for today's project. It certainly brings new meaning to the phrase crafting forever. CRAFTING FOREVER I decided to try out my new colour combination using the three ... VIEW POST

Labels To Love Rediscovered
Even though it's only September, I'm having a hard time staying away from my Christmas stamp sets. I suppose it's because they're new, and sitting in a little stack on my craft desk. So I'm making a special effort to rediscover some of my older, but still available Stampin' Up! sets. Today my attention turned to Labels to Love Stamp Set. Yes I know it's got a lot of Christmas images, but there's others in there too. I grabbed the give thanks image with two little leafy branches and set to ... VIEW POST

Painted Harvest Stamp Set
The hot and humid weather has finally gone and for the past couple of days there's a definite nip in the air. Here in my little corner of Nova Scotia, autumn is most definitely on the way. I can already see the leaves on the maple trees staring to change colour. So when I sat down to create a project for today's blog I couldn't help but reach for the Painted Harvest Stamp Set. I simply love the flower image in this set which uses the two-step stamping technique. The results are amazing, ... VIEW POST

Very Vintage Stamp Set
Something that I always try to do is help my customers to get the most from their crafting budget. I let them know when there are special promotions from Stampin' Up!, and I point out where they can save 10% by buying coordinating items using a special bundle code. But something that is often overlooked by customers is the Host stamp sets. So today I decided to use the Very Vintage Stamp Set from page 227 of the 2018/2019 Annual Catalogue to show you what you might be missing. This ... VIEW POST

Painted Glass altered roundel
Sometimes a stamp image is so striking it's hard to think of new ways to use it. For me, the images in the Painted Glass Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! fall into this category. So today, with three design challenges for inspiration, I decided to try something different with the roundel from that set. OK it may not be obvious, but I am happy with the minor adjustments I made to this pretty image. But first things first... THE COLOURS My colours were inspired by the Paper Players ... VIEW POST

Tea Room Specialty DSP
Over the years I've learned to appreciate patterned papers. I've tried various brands but I've not found any quite like Stampin' Up! Their normal Designer Series Paper (often referred to as DSP) is fairly thick with designs on both sides. Sometimes though they'll create 'Specialty DSP' like Joyous Noel with foil accents in some of the designs. The Tea Room Specialty DSP is different again as it's much thinner than their normal DSP, more like copy paper. While it's not suitable for making ... VIEW POST
