If you’ve been making cards for years like me you’ll know nothing is really new. While I do try different ideas and techniques many of the trends go in cycles. I’ve also found that, at least in my studio, I revisit the same card layouts. One that I don’t think I’ve used in a while invokes the power of three. Three matted layers, three colours, three embellishments, and today, even three words in the sympathy sentiment. It all started with the Delicate Desert 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper ... VIEW POST

A Paper Pumpkin Thing: Sunshine & Smiles
It’s the first Friday of the month and that means it’s time for the A Paper Pumpkin Thing blog hop. This month the team has been having a blast playing with the February 2023 kit called “Sunshine & Smiles”. Unusually we got a pretty good feel for this kit after being told it coordinated with the Rain Or Shine suite on pages 50 and 51 of the January to April 2023 Mini Catalogue. That coordination also gave us lots more inspiration and supplies for designing alternate projects with this ... VIEW POST

Many of the team decided to work with paper scraps and I'm amazed by all the different ways they used them. Me? Well once again I’m thinking outside the box. So instead of card or paper scraps, my projects focus on using those scraps of ribbon that are too short to tie into a bow. RIBBON ... VIEW POST

Basic Bubble Texture
It’s almost time to say goodbye to the 2023 Sale-A-Bration promotion but I’m really not sad. Now I’m looking forward to the full range of Online Exclusive products being released tomorrow. Some will only be around while stocks last, and some will be available for longer with additional orders being planned. Of the items I purchased in advance my favourite without doubt is the Basics 3D Embossing Folders pack. So for my final sneak peek project I simply had to show you the last of the three ... Basic Open Weave
Oh where did the weekend go? I always seem to run out of weekend before I run out of things I want to get done. Still, I did manage to find some time to craft and already have tomorrow’s final sneak peek project made. But before we get to that I have a birthday card project for you. It combines the Beautifully Happy Stamp Set (only available until the Stampin’ Up! 2023 Sale-A-Bration promotion ends tomorrow), with another of the Basic 3D Embossing Folders available to customers starting on ...
