With all the excitement over the new products in the Stampin’ Up! 2018/2019 Annual Catalogue it’s easy to forget all the great products that are being carried over and so I thought I should look back at some of my previous projects made using products that are available now and are being carried over into the new catalogue.
Today I have a simple sympathy card from November 2017, created using the Colorful Seasons Stamp Set and coordinating Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies, with a sentiment from the Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set.
In the video I show you how I create a really simple sponged panel from which I die-cut the leaves. I talk you through my thought process as I design the card and give you a few simple tips and tricks for using my favourite adhesive, Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow).
OK, so a fall / autumn card maybe not quite what you’re looking for right now, but the same technique for creating a mottled, natural-looking sponged piece could quite easily be created using an assortment of yellow and green inks.
My reason for picking this particular project was also to remind you that if you like the Colorful Seasons Stamp Set and coordinating Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies, you can buy them right now using a special bundle code and get them at a 10% discount. Unfortunately though that bundle offer ends on May 31st 2018 (that’s tomorrow!). So while everything I used to create this card does appear in the new 2018/2019 Annual Catalogue, you’ll end up paying more for it if you wait.
Here’s another look at the finished card…

Don’t forget the discounted bundle offer ends at 11.45 pm Mountain Time on May 31st.
Absolutely stunning, Tracy! Love it! Love both bundles … the Colourful Seasons one was a real winner! And thankfully, the Flourishing Phrases will remain with us another year … beautiful!!
Thank you Geraldine. I’m happy to see both these stamp sets carried over. I managed to get Flourishing Phrases when that was originally offered as a bundle with the coordinating Flourish Thinlits, sadly that discount ended last year.
