As expected, yesterday’s dusting of snow quickly melted and we’re back to that odd ‘between season’ kind of weather. The autumn leaves are all gone, but still there’s a little warmth that makes being outside quite pleasant at times. Sadly it won’t be long before the colder weather returns and settles in. So today with that in mind I’m saying goodbye to the Beautiful Autumn Stamp Set by decorating a 3″ x 3″ Post-It Note® pad.

GILDED AUTUMN
I began my project by choosing this gorgeous gold and copper foil pattern from the Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper (DSP). When covering notepads I always like to leave a little extra to make it easier to lift the cover, so I cut the paper 3-1/8″ x 4″. Then I placed the paper on the front of the pad and folded the excess over the top and onto the back.
Using my fingers I pressed along the top edges before taking the paper off and sharpening the creases with a Bone Folder. Once that was done I wrapped the paper around the pad again but this time fixing the DSP at the back of the pad using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tombow)
The DSP is quite stunning so I wanted to have a really luxurious mat underneath. So I chose Copper Foil Sheet and cut a piece 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″. Then using liquid glue again I fixed the pad onto it. Finally the assembled piece was mounted onto a 3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″ piece of Early Espresso Card and set aside.
BEAUTIFUL AUTUMN
Post-It Notes are so useful and I wanted a sentiment that fitted the project. I found exactly what I needed in the Beautiful Autumn Stamp Set – “Life is better with you”.

First, using Early Espresso ink I stamped the sentiment onto some Thick Very Vanilla Card. Then I punched it out using the Timeless Label Punch before fixing onto the pad cover with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
At this point I wasn’t sure whether I wanted/needed to add anything else, but as I was putting away the stamp I noticed some leaves in a little bag. Some of them had been punched from pieces of DSP using the coordinating Autumn Punch Pack, but not all. There were a couple of tiny copper leaves that had been fussy cut from the same design I’d used on today’s project.
The leaves really were quite small, but actually they were perfect. So using liquid glue I fixed them to the bottom of the sentiment so they looked as if they were part of the stem beneath. With that my quick project was complete.

PRODUCT LIST
RETIRING PRODUCTS – Both the Beautiful Autumn Stamp Set and the Gilded Autumn DSP are retiring and only available while stocks last. I mentioned that there is an Autumn Punch Pack that coordinates with the stamp set (not used today). These items are available as a bundle and normally I’d recommend you using the bundle code if you want to order both. However as the retiring punch pack is now reduced you’ll pay less if you buy them separately.
